Good morning all!
Father, we pray the world would hear our song this morning because we have good reason to sing. It’s YOU, we sing because we know You love us, protect us, provide for us. We pray our life be represented by a song that it worthy of Your praise and Your love, Amen. Have you ever been asked that question, what’s your story? Well, never mind the story…what’s your song?
Isa 12:2 KJV – Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust, and not be afraid: for the LORD JEHOVAH is my strength and my song; he also is become my salvation.
Look, God is MY salvation; why wouldn’t I trust Him, definitely NO need to be scared: after all He is Lord of all MY strength & MY song; that’s what saves me.
Isa 12:3 KJV – Therefore with joy shall ye draw water out of the wells of salvation.
And because of all that I have enough joy to reach deep inside and pour salvation out to others.
Isa 12:4 KJV – And in that day shall ye say, Praise the LORD, call upon his name, declare his doings among the people, make mention that his name is exalted.
And the day when I do that you will say, praise the Lord we trust Him and He does good things for ALL His people, we should all thank God for His kindness.
Isa 12:5 KJV – Sing unto the LORD; for he hath done excellent things: this is known in all the earth.
In fact, it’s so good we’re gonna sing about all the EXCELLENT things God has done so ALL the earth will know.
The world will know the God we serve based on the song they hear…YOU!!! Are you singing this morning? What’s your song sound like? This is the passage here in Isaiah, the church is singing about the goodness of God. And what is this song? Is it a chart topper?
Psa 40:3 KJV – And he hath put a new song in my mouth, even praise unto our God: many shall see it, and fear, and shall trust in the LORD. Do you have a NEW song this morning? And riddle me this, how is it that many will SEE it? I thought you hear a song not SEE it? Call me crazy but maybe there’s a song in my heart that causes me to live a different lifestyle, and maybe that’s what people will SEE? In fact, didn’t He say we should DRAW water out of the WELLS of salvation. What makes a well, a well?
Jhn 4:11 KJV – The woman saith unto him, Sir, thou hast nothing to draw with, and the well is deep: from whence then hast thou that living water? What makes it a well is the fact that it is deep…deep inside of you…also known as the heart of Christ. Now God does say we should DRAW out from that well with JOY so it should probably
sound good and not bad, right? What happens when it doesn’t sound good?
2Pe 2:17 KJV – These are wells without water, clouds that are carried with a tempest; to whom the mist of darkness is reserved for ever. Hmm…a black cloud and a well with No water…that doesn’tsound good, sounds like the character Pigpen from the Peanuts comic that always had bad news and problems…does that sound like the heart of Christ? You know what a well with no water sounds like? I don’t love you…I don’t forgive you. Did you see what was reserved for a well and cloud like that? Darkness forever! You know how to get rid of darkness don’t you?
2Co 4:4 KJV – In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them. You want to know the ABC’s of being a Christian? Turn your light ON! The only way you and I can shine the light of the gospel of Christ is to love and forgive others. If not, you just made yourself the god of your world and your mind is BLIND…it dwells in darkness. The good news this morning is that is doesn’t have to last forever, you can turn that light on right now…all you gotta do is love and forgive. You see, we think we can love and forgive some and we’re still a light…WRONG. That is NOT the gospel of Jesus Christ, what is?
Mat 5:14 KJV – Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid. If your light is hid to some…it ain’t His light…His light includes the WORLD and CANNOT be hid EVER. It’s the same as the Lord’s song…YOU…it’s known in ALL the earth. How else can they hear our heart unless we love and forgive the WORLD!
Point to Ponder
Does your well have water? Jhn 7:38 KJV – He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water. You got it, the real question is you gonna pour it out? Remember the words of Jesus on the Cross? “I thirst”…don’t leave Him thirsty.
Let’s all sing with joy, In Him Phil
