All too often we think of hell as a place of final destination for certain people after they die. Hell is not as much of a place that certain people go when they die as much as it is a current residence for most of us right now. Hell can be defined as a place of torment and sadness, a place of pain and sorrow, of fear and anxiety, a place where we live from time to time.
Remember, Jesus did not come to send people to hell but to get us out of the hell that we are continually in. As a matter of fact, Jesus Christ himself went into hell in order to bring his children out of hell. Scripture tells us that even when we make our own bed in hell, God is with us.
It seems as if we create our own hell and Christ continually descends into our hell to save us and deliver us.
Did you know that hell itself will not last forever but will be destroyed by the Lake of Fire? That is, your hell will not last forever but that God will consume it with the Lake of Fire.
Maybe next time we will talk about the Lake of Fire. But to answer today’s question, “Who is going to Hell?” Well, I suppose that Jesus is going into your hell to save you and get you out!
Does anybody want to pray with me and say, “thank you Jesus for loving me so much that you went to hell to find me and save me”, A-men!
