Good morning all!
Father, we are truly grateful because even when we think we’re at our worst, You pour out Your best. We know that Your mercy is forever and Your love enduring, thank You Lord for the faithfulness of Your salvation, Amen. You ever find yourself in a bit of a mess? Or wondering how you got there?
Isaiah 63
1 Who [is] this that cometh from Edom, with dyed garments from Bozrah? this [that is] glorious in his apparel, travelling in the greatness of his strength? I that speak in righteousness, mighty to save.
Who is this coming from the land of the enemy in this bright garment? Moving with such conviction and strength? It is “I” the righteous One, who is MIGHTY to save.
2 Wherefore [art thou] red in thine apparel, and thy garments like him that treadeth in the winefat?
And why is Your clothes red like You just got out of a winepress?
3 I have trodden the winepress alone; and of the people [there was] none with me: for I will tread them in mine anger, and trample them in my fury; and their blood shall be sprinkled upon my garments, and I will stain all my raiment.
That’s because I did tread the winepress…ALONE, I went after your enemies with tremendous passion and conviction, this what has stained my clothes.
4 For the day of vengeance [is] in mine heart, and the year of my redeemed is come.
For I planned the DAY that I would remove your enemy so you would see the YEAR of redemption is come.
Bottom line
Imagine for a second that God Himself invites you over His house for a special dinner, you show up on His doorstep ring His door bell and when He opens it He’s standing there with a stained apron and flour all over His hands. As though He would invite you to a special meal and then leave it in the hands of some other cook? That is what’s happening here, God says He is the One that will save us and He ALONE! Save us from what?
[Psa 110:6 KJV] 6 He shall judge among the heathen, he shall fill [the places] with the dead bodies; he shall wound the heads over many nations. God is saving us from the heathen, He wounds the head…the Hebrew word means to agitate or to shake up. God shakes up that heathen head of mine because I didn’t understand that it was Him alone that removes my enemies which are in my head and not outside of me. The heathen in this chapter is the Edomite, who is the most famous Edomite? Jacob’s brother Esau. Did you notice God will wound the head of many NATIONS?
[Gen 25:22-23] And the children struggled together within her; and she said, If [it be] so, why [am] I thus? And she went to enquire of the LORD. And the LORD said unto her, Two nations [are] in thy womb, and two manner of people shall be separated from thy bowels; and [the one] people shall be stronger than [the other] people; and the elder shall serve the younger. This of course God’s response to Rebekah when she conceives Jacob and Esau, and remember she was barren…translation…God chose what would be birthed from her womb (give that some thought). We’re all Rebekah and we all have a struggle WITHIN us, #thestruggleisreal. The struggle is real because we all have 2 nations inside us…two natures…a natural man…Adam and a spirit man…Christ. So, who do you think God is treading upon? Yeah, Adam. You know why he treads on his head? Tramples our thoughts?
[Rom 1:25 KJV] 25 Who changed the truth of God into a lie and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen. We believe the lie; we listen to our feelings before we listen to God…we worship and serve whatever we listen to…sometimes that’s my feelings and sometimes it’s God. Remember, Adam and Eve ate of the tree so they could be like God…the lie.
[Gen 1:26 KJV] 26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: That’s the lie, God already made US in His image and likeness…we have a tough time with that one and still do at times. God wants to trample every lie that’s in our head, He will trample them, and He knows the quicker He does the quicker we can live like our Father. What father doesn’t go after anyone or anything that threatens his children? As though our Father in heaven would do anything different, in fact, He don’t want our help for He is mighty to save NOT weak. Here’s the beautiful part, as He treads the enemy in this winepress what gets produced? That’s right only the very best wine!
[Pro 3:10 KJV] 10 So shall thy barns be filled with plenty, and thy presses shall burst out with new wine. I pray we all burst out with NEW wine…remember it’s NEW…as in not seen before…I pray there’s bursting of love from our heart that’s new and just like the wedding feast He saved the best for last.
Point to Ponder
What about my mess? [Heb 12:16 ASV] 16 lest [there be] any fornicator, or profane person, as Esau, who for one mess of meat sold his own birthright. Whatever mess you find yourself in don’t SELL your birthright…your Father doesn’t care about your mess; He cares about your heart…don’t believe anything less.
Let’s all be His wine, In Him Phil
