Are You Awake?

Good morning all!

Father, how can we begin to express our love for You? You alone are the giver of life, You alone are the maker of all things. Lord, close our eyes and open our hearts to be more like You, to awaken something inside of us that can only be by Your spirit, Amen. Have you ever been asked that question? Maybe it was on the heels of an accident or making a mistake, are you awake?

Isaiah 52

Isa 52:1 KJV – Awake, awake; put on thy strength, O Zion; put on thy beautiful garments, O Jerusalem, the holy city: for henceforth there shall no more come into thee the uncircumcised and the unclean.
Wake up; you’re living in a weak state of mind, O church; put on that beautiful jacket I gave you, O house of peace, the HOLY city: and from now on NO more uncircumcised or unclean will be part of your lifestyle.

Isa 52:2 KJV – Shake thyself from the dust; arise, [and] sit down, O Jerusalem: loose thyself from the bands of thy neck, O captive daughter of Zion.
Dust yourself already; whether you rise or sit, O church: loose the hold that’s around your neck preventing you from looking to ME, it’s holding you captive MY precious daughter.

Isa 52:3 KJV – For thus saith the LORD, Ye have sold yourselves for nought; and ye shall be redeemed without money.
This is how the Lord sees it, you sold out for NOTHING; but I will redeem you with NO money.

Bottom line

Is it just me or does life ever feel like you’re living in a dream? Ten years ago, did any of you dream that 2020 would look like this? Dream…nightmare…same thing, we’re not awake. God is telling us to wake up and then He says I know you’re awake when NO uncircumcised or unclean enters YOU. Call me crazy but maybe that’s what put us to sleep in the first place?

Jer 6:10 NLT – To whom can I give warning? Who will listen when I speak? Their ears are not circumcised, and they cannot hear. They ignore the word of the LORD. They don’t want to listen at all. Who will listen when God speaks? I think it’s a fair question, in the midst of chaos and confusion the answer is never less of God…it’s more of God. We don’t listen at all. We say and do what we want, maybe instead we should circumcise some of our thinking…cut away any thought that is contrary to God’s word.

Jer 6:7 NLT – She spouts evil like a fountain. Her streets echo with the sounds of violence and destruction. I always see her sickness and sores. Tell me our streets don’t echo with sounds of violence and destruction? The words from our own mouth are like a fountain that spout retaliation and rejection, we think the answer is better argument and a better fight. After all it’s a righteous fight?

Isa 53:7 NLT – He was oppressed and treated harshly, yet he never said a word. He was led like a lamb to the slaughter. And as a sheep is silent before the shearers, he did not open his mouth. Question, when Jesus was abused and treated harshly, He never spoke a word, was he AWAKE? When they took every bit of His dignity like the sheep being sheared of its wool coat, did He put on His strength or lose it? Call me crazy but perhaps the righteous fight is accomplished with silence, perhaps God really does want us to love our enemy and NOT tell them how wrong they are and get rid of them. This is the band around our neck that holds us captive, it says we must look and respond as the world does or else they’ll think I’m weak, I’m a pushover, I’m not willing to stand up for what’s right. Did Jesus stand up for what’s right? Did Jesus listen to His Father? Which is more right, the position you hold or saving the soul of the person you hold the position against? Do you honestly think the Lord is looking for us to win more positions in life or more souls? Again, call me crazy but maybe He’s looking for us to lay down our position to win the soul. We sell ourselves for NOTHING, like God says well done when you win your so-called position? As though He’s going to hang that in the halls of heaven as a victory trophy-Ha! We sell our birthright for nothing, what’s our birthright? We sell our heavenly calling in an attempt to look strong or right in the eyes of the people around us. Our heavenly calling, our birthright should be the same as our Father…redemption NOT rejection. We should be willing to fight for our birthright not just give it up for the vain appearance of things. You willing to fight? When you’re fight doesn’t take a side and you look like a MUTE lamb being led to the slaughter you’ll know you’re born of heaven, that is your birthright…I know it’s not be popular these days but it’s the only way to remain awake in the kingdom of God.
