Good morning all!
Father, thank You Lord for making a way and giving us the roadmap to the place You call home. I pray we will follow that road, that we stay on the path You’ve chosen for us and return to the only place that holds no fear, no pain and no sorrow. Thank You Lord the Maker of all that is holy, all that is good, all that is right and for setting us free to live by Your glory, Amen. Have you ever watched that show, do you think you can dance?
Isaiah 35
Isa 35:6 KJV – Then shall the lame man leap as an hart, and the tongue of the dumb sing: for in the wilderness shall waters break out, and streams in the desert.
Those that couldn’t walk will dance for joy and no longer be mute but sing loud, and that dry and the barren land will produce rivers and streams in great abundance.
Isa 35:7 KJV – And the parched ground shall become a pool, and the thirsty land springs of water: in the habitation of dragons, where each lay, shall be grass with reeds and rushes.
And this dry and thirsty place will produce plenty to drink, and the place where dragons once walked will be overtaken with new growth.
Isa 35:8 KJV – And an highway shall be there, and a way, and it shall be called The way of holiness; the unclean shall not pass over it; but it shall be for those: the wayfaring men, though fools, shall not err therein.
And you will find a road and a way of life, and it will be called the highway of holiness; you can’t find the unclean on it; you will find wayfaring men, the fool will not find it.
Isa 35:9 KJV – No lion shall be there, nor any ravenous beast shall go up thereon, it shall not be found there; but the redeemed shall walk there:
No lions are lurking, nor any beast to tear your flesh, danger doesn’t exist there; the redeemed walk this road all day long:
Isa 35:10 KJV – And the ransomed of the LORD shall return, and come to Zion with songs and everlasting joy upon their heads: they shall obtain joy and gladness, and sorrow and sighing shall flee away.
And those that have been set free will RETURN, and they will be singing and possess joy that will NEVER end: they will live with joy and gladness and sorrow and sadness will disappear forever.
Bottom line
Based on this passage of scripture, the question isn’t CAN you dance but WILL you dance? You know when we start dance? When we’re no longer lame.
Heb 12:13 KJV – And make straight paths for your feet, lest that which is lame be turned out of the way; but let it rather be healed. You and I MAKE the path straight for our feet…the life we live…so that the lame will not turn away from that path and instead be HEALED. You know why I’m lame and can’t dance? I have turned away from the path of forgiveness and have NOT healed the relationship. Remember, this path is called the Highway of Holiness…can we really be considered holy…as Christ…and not forgive people? I believe it’s time to dance church, I believe God has seen me lame for too long.
Ecc 3:4 KJV – A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance; What do you know, there is a time to dance and it comes after the time of mourning. You know why we dance?
2Sa 6:16 NIV – As the ark of the LORD was entering the City of David, Michal daughter of Saul watched from a window. And when she saw King David leaping and dancing before the LORD, she despised him in her heart. David danced when the ark returned, remember the ark of God is also called the MERCY seat…we are forgiven. I mean if we can’t dance for that one, what will we dance for?
Mic 7:19 NIV – You will again have compassion on us; you will tread our sins underfoot and hurl all our iniquities into the depths of the sea. God will AGAIN have compassion on us…again means more than one, how many times? It’s called eternity. And what did God do with ALL our sin? He hurled ALL of them into the depths of the sea…it’s called dead and buried….forgotten. I guess God’s definition of forgiveness means you forget the offense. I mean, are you really forgiven if I remind you of it? Do you suppose we should be able to find our sins on that highway of holiness? Remember, the Highway belongs to God.
Heb 8:12 NLT – And I will forgive their wickedness, and I will never again remember their sins.” NEVER means NEVER…sounds like forgive and forget go hand in hand with God. Call me crazy but maybe we can take this dry place and turn it into a pool, and then the dragon will leave. Anyone fighting dragons this morning?
Isa 27:1 NLT – In that day the LORD will take his terrible, swift sword and punish Leviathan, the swiftly moving serpent, the coiling, writhing serpent. He will kill the dragon of the sea. My bible tells us the Lord already killed that dragon in the dry place, you know what made him a dragon? His tongue said I forgive but I don’t forget…translation…I’m not willing to repair this relationship. There’s no lion and no beast on this road, it also says ONLY the redeemed and the ransomed walk on this highway. Are you ransomed this morning?
1Ti 2:6 KJV – Who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time. Of coursed you’re ransomed, my bible says ALL…that includes you and I. What do you suppose we should testify about in due time? It’s called love and forgiveness, this is what flows from our life…it’s DUE time. It provides a refreshing river for wayfaring men…those that may have lost their way in life. You mean we shouldn’t throw them off our highway but instead offer them something to drink?
Jhn 7:38 KJV – He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water. What should mankind find in the depths of his soul? Living waters flowing from inside of us, and these waters should produce life NOT death. These are the very words you and I speak every day to one another, they should be the words of Christ…when you believe in Him, when you believed He ransomed ALL and forgiven ALL sins and forgotten ALL sin…sounds like a pretty clean and holy highway…probably oughta to keep it that way if HE made it that way. Remember what your parents would tell you when you borrowed something, return it better than you when you got it. Better?
Jhn 14:12 KJV – Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father. Because of the completed work of Jesus Christ on Calvary you and I can do greater works, all we have to do is get on the highway, dance and sing and all sorrow and sadness will disappear.
Point to Ponder
Do you know the roadmap home? Zep 3:20 NIV – At that time I will gather you; at that time I will bring you home. I will give you honor and praise among all the peoples of the earth when I restore your fortunes before your very eyes,” says the LORD.. Why do think God rejoices over of us singing and dancing…He brings us home.
Let’s all dance before the Lord, In Him Phil
