Good morning all!
Father, we know that You are God and no one else can take Your place. Help us Lord to hear Your voice and to recognize Your way in our life. We ask that You strengthen our belief and allow us to walk in the fullness of Your spirit that we might make Your truth seen, Amen. Silly question, right? Yet how many times have we heard it or thought it? Do you believe in God?
John 14
Jhn 14:1 KJV – Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.
While you may experience trouble in life DON’T let your heart worry over it, you believe in God so believe me too.
Jhn 14:2 KJV – In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.
My Father’s place is so big that it has too many mansions to count, this is truth. I’m preparing that mansion for YOU!
Jhn 14:3 KJV – And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.
And after I prepare this place I’m coming back for YOU and you will be just as I AM.
Jhn 14:4 KJV – And whither I go ye know, and the way ye know.
You know the WAY to the place I AM.
Bottom line
I believe we can all tell what we really believe based on how we live. Now when did Jesus speak these words? Right after He told the disciples that they would all take a FALL, Judas we know what he did, Peter more than once and the other disciples? Their silence of truth was deafening. Now, why did they all respond in such a negative way? Simple, they all let their heart be TROUBLED. Think about it, why do we reject one another? We experience some sort of betrayal or denial and we let our thoughts trouble us over the situation. Do you believe in God? The answer is Yes of course and He is our Father, well if you believe in Him believe in Jesus the Son also. Is someone really a Father without a child? Right, if we have a Father then you gotta have a Son. Now stay with me here, do you suppose the Father and the Son represent something here? Hmm…so the disciples betrayed and denied Christ, I’m gonna go out on limb and say we probably want to avoid that behavior especially if we SAY we love God. Instead, don’t let our Heart be troubled and believe in the Father…LOVE…and believe in the Son…FORGIVENESS. God dwells inside our heart which also is the birthplace of LOVE and the Son was birthed for FORGIVENESS.
Heb 9:28 KJV – So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation. Okay, so He said the next time you see Christ you shouldn’t see any sin. Can you see Christ today?
Col 3:11 KJV – Where there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcision nor uncircumcision, Barbarian, Scythian, bond nor free: but Christ is all, and in all. Now when we look at each other if you believe in God you should see Christ, since according to scripture He is in ALL of US and it makes NO difference what you believe or your background…that is an eternal truth. If you see sin…betrayal…denial…silence of truth, then you can’t see Christ and if you don’t see Him you don’t believe in Him. Listen, Jesus Christ has already prepared that mansion for you and I, all we have to do is believe in the Father and the Son, how?
Eph 2:19 KJV – Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellowcitizens with the saints, and of the household of God; God has ONE household and there are NO strangers or people we see as foreign to us, we’re ALL saints based on the power of the Cross. How big is God’s house?
Eph 2:22 KJV – In whom ye also are builded together for an habitation of God through the Spirit. God is expecting all His mansions to be joined TOGETHER so HE can make it His dwelling place. Remember that Beatles hit song? “Come together” What was the next line? “right now”. If you believe in God then believe in the Son, forgiveness is the evidence of our love for God…go be a son and come together.
Point to Ponder
Why did Jesus tell the disciples you know “the WAY”? Jhn 1:18 NIV – No one has ever seen God, but the one and only Son, who is himself God and is in closest relationship with the Father, has made him known. The WAY is forgiveness, now go make it KNOWN.
