Good morning, all!

Father, we hunger for more of You and Your will for our life so that we might walk in the liberty of Your love. Show us Lord more of Your heart, Your wisdom and Your glory. We pray that we are a reflection of what You created us to be and know who we are in Your kingdom, Amen

Luke 13

24 Strive to enter in at the strait gate: for many, I say unto you, will seek to enter in, and shall not be able.
Work hard to enter in the straight entry, for MANY, I tell you the truth will try to get in and will NOT be able.

25 When once the master of the house is risen up, and hath shut to the door, and ye begin to stand without, and to knock at the door, saying, Lord, Lord, open unto us; and he shall answer and say unto you, I know you not whence ye are:
And when the Master of your house is risen and shut the door to that dark world and you’re standing on the outside knocking at His door saying Lord, open up it’s me and He will say I do NOT know you or where you come from.

26 Then shall ye begin to say, We have eaten and drunk in thy presence, and thou hast taught in our streets.
Then you say we ate with you, we had coffee with you, and you taught me in the neighborhood.

27 But he shall say, I tell you, I know you not whence ye are; depart from me, all [ye] workers of iniquity.
But He answers, I tell you, I do NOT know you or where you come from, depart from Me, you all are workers of sin.

Bottom line

So what exactly is Jesus saying here? He’s telling people that ate with Him and also heard His teachings, I don’t know you. They seem to know Jesus, so what’s the problem? Let me explain it this way to you, we all have I-Phones, right? Now when you get a call, a name will usually pop up on your phone, but what happens when it’s just a number and you don’t see a name, you don’t KNOW who it is, right? And if you’re like me you don’t answer it. So how do we get our name programmed in Jesus’s phone? There’s only one way according to this passage of scripture, we have to STRIVE to get through the STRAIGHT gate. Did you notice how many tried to get in and couldn’t? Jesus said MANY were Not able to get in, we show up and the door is closed, and we knock but He says I don’t know you. Makes sense .Do you let strangers in your house? Jesus closes the door between the world of light and darkness, He even said light will NOT have fellowship with darkness, when we walk in darkness, we have NO truth and we’re living a lie. What’s the lie?

[Psa 107:10 KJV] Such as sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, [being] bound in affliction and iron. We sit in darkness…we’re sitting in the mess we created, and we cast a shadow of death…the shadow is the lie…it’s NOT the real you…and for some reason we’re in chains of pain and iron…hurt and pride. You know why pride shows up in my pain? I don’t FORGIVE the one that caused the pain and when that happens, I create darkness.

[Jhn 1:9 KJV] That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world. I hope you can see it this morning, the True Light that came down from heaven, how many did he light up? Does it say EVERY man that comes into the world, as in EVERY person born. Why would the savior of the world know darkness, how can a light have fellowship with darkness? The Light WINS every time, right? So how hard is it to get rid of the darkness? Open the eyes of your heart. The darkness we’re sitting in is a state of spiritual blindness, when you close your eyes how dark does it get? We turn out the light when we choose NOT to forgive others, what do you think the Light of the world is going to choose? Jesus…the Light chooses forgiveness every time, He will never cast a shadow of DOUBT in our life. Can you see the Light?

[Mat 6:22-23 KJV] The light of the body is the eye: if therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light. But if thine eye be evil, thy whole body shall be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in thee be darkness, how great [is] that darkness. We ALL have a light IN THEE but we need a SINGLE eye, there really is only one way to see this life which is with a SINGULAR focus of maintaining that Light that Jesus placed inside of us…FORGIVE people. The straight gate is the eyes to our heart, they should lead STRAIGHT to the throne of God…MERCY. Jesus is the only one that can straighten out our life, He is the only one that could provide a light in our darkness…the SAME yesterday, TODAY & Forever…thank you Jesus.

Point to Ponder

Do you remember the name of the street where God healed Saul’s blindness and changed his name? [Acts 9:11] The Lord said, “Go over to Straight Street, to the house of Judas. When you get there, ask for a man from Tarsus named Saul. He is praying to me right now. STRIVE to find straight street and God will open your eyes and change your name.
