Good morning, all!
Father, we know that Your love for us cannot be measured for it fills the heavens. We know by the power of Your word that You don’t keep a record of our sin, for who could stand? But with You there is forgiveness that we would know You, Amen.
Matthew 18
21 Then came Peter to him, and said, Lord, how oft shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? till seven times?
Lord, how many times will my brother hurt me that I should forgive him? Till seven?
22 Jesus saith unto him, I say not unto thee, Until seven times: but, Until seventy times seven.
Peter you way off son, I say NOT until seven times but UNTIL seventy times seven.
23 Therefore is the kingdom of heaven likened unto a certain king, which would take account of his servants.
Therefore the kingdom of heaven is just like a CERTAIN king, which looked at all his servants owed.
27 Then the lord of that servant was moved with compassion, and loosed him, and forgave him all the debt.
Then the king was MOVED with compassion and set his servant free and forgave him ALL his debt.
Bottom line
Okay so I’m sure we all heard of this passage of scripture before, you know there’s tremendous significance here, right? You know the number 490 must mean something more than the count of sin? You don’t honestly think we should keep a record book of all the wrongs done to us, and when we hit 490, we stop forgiving? After all Corinthians tells us that love keeps NO record of wrongs. So, 490 doesn’t represent a number, Jesus said UNTIL…until what? Until you enter heaven…same thing as living by faith. What happens when we don’t forgive?
[Mar 11:26 NKJV] 26 “But if you do not forgive, neither will your Father in heaven forgive your trespasses. Your Father in HEAVEN, you have NO access to that place UNTIL. Let me ask you a question, can sin exist in heaven? What about unforgiveness? Yeah, neither can, remember God dwells in heaven and there is NO darkness in Him at all…He really meant it when He said let there be light -Ha! You see forgiveness isn’t a single act or some number of acts, it is a place you and I choose to live…also known as heaven. Said another way there is no heaven without forgiveness and no forgiveness without heaven. The 490 is the prophecy of Daniel. He actually spelled it out long before Calvary.
[Dan 9:24 KJV] Seventy weeks are determined upon thy people and upon thy holy city, to finish the transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most Holy place. I mean there is so much in this verse, finish the transgression…Christ on the cross “It is finished”…the END of sin…and why? RECONCILIATION for every offense committed and to bring righteousness which has NO end and He placed His final seal of approval on every promise made and to anoint the most holy place…490 is the address of His most holy place where all of these promises are fulfilled, the place where God dwells, the place where there is NO more sin, the place made for reconciliation and you only see righteousness. Remember the tabernacle had three parts an outer court, holy place, and most holy place. And in the most holy place only the high priest could enter once a year to atone for all the sins of the people but then came Calvary.
[Heb 9:11 KJV] But Christ being come an high priest of good things to come, by a greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not of this building. Christ our High priest created a greater and more perfect tabernacle, NOT made with hands…His most holy place…our heart. How many times should we forgive? UNTIL…until you see heaven and forgiveness are one in the same…it’s the place you and I live…it is the place anointed by God…where we have the power of heaven. We are called to be kings and priests. The highest order of the king is love and the highest order of the priest is to reconcile…don’t leave home without them.
Point to Ponder
Why did the Devil get kicked out of heaven? [Rev 12:10 KJV] And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast out, which accused them before our God day and night. Well what do you know, he didn’t forgive instead he brought all the sin of the people before God morning, noon and night and God said NOT in My house devil you gotta go we don’t live like that here.
Let’s all live in heaven, In Him Phil
