Good morning all!
Father, I pray You will give us the strength to conquer all we face today. You would point us in the right direction and cause faith to rise up in us, and help us to go a little deeper and search a little higher, Amen. You know the expression, when the going gets tough the tough get going. It’s go time…
Revelation 22
Rev 22:1 KJV – And he shewed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb.
Makes sense when a river flows from the throne of God it should be PURE and it should produce LIFE.
Rev 22:2 KJV – In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, [was there] the tree of life, which bare twelve [manner of] fruits, [and] yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree [were] for the healing of the nations.
What do you know, these are miracle waters that produce fruit year round as though the hotter and colder months have NO effect on their harvest it will only HEAL.
Rev 22:3 KJV – And there shall be no more curse: but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it; and his servants shall serve him:
And with this NEW seat of authority there is NO longer any curse, guess that’s what makes the river pure and the fruit fantastic…that’s real power.
Rev 22:4 KJV – And they shall see his face; and his name [shall be] in their foreheads.
And when you look in the mirror you can see a new face, you see a new identity…it’s as though you’ve been born again…a new person.
Bottom line
What does a world with NO curse look like? Sound like? And if no curse then what remains?
Deu 11:29 KJV – And it shall come to pass, when the LORD thy God hath brought thee in unto the land whither thou goest to possess it, that thou shalt put the blessing upon mount Gerizim, and the curse upon mount Ebal. Speaking to the church this morning, you know those who look to God Almighty and NOT world chaos. Once we enter the promise land we can find blessings in Mt Gerizim…Mt of Faith and we find the curse in Mt Ebal…Mt of Doubt. The question is which mountain will we pursue? Something has to be our top priority, our mountain sort of speak. Gerizim = God and Ebal = anything besides God. Now if your like me, we have days where we look to climb Mt Ebal but we say we’re doing it in the name of God…not true.
Luk 18:22 NIV – When Jesus heard this, he said to him, “You still lack one thing. Sell everything you have and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me. What if today you sold all you have and emptied every account you have and gave it to someone you didn’t know, what would you lack? I believe Mt Gerizim is Jesus Christ Himself, can you climb two points of elevation at the same time? Do you suppose the climb up the right mountain produces a relationship with our Savior? Do you suppose we might actually learn and experience something on that climb up the mountain that’s eternal? Remember Jesus didn’t speak these words to a heathen, it was a “so called” upstanding member in society with a good job that had a lot and knew God and His word, sound familiar? I believe when we pursue Mt Gerizim we will find that pure river that flows and produces life, healing for ALL nations, fruit no matter how severe the conditions are in life. What’s the river like in the other mountain?
Jas 3:9 CSB – With the tongue we bless our Lord and Father, and with it we curse people who are made in God’s likeness…these things ought NOT be so. Call me crazy but maybe the blessings in this world have nothing to do with anyone’s performance and everything to do with the mountain we choose to climb.
Point to Ponder
Remember when Jesus climbed a mountain with Peter, James and John? What did God say? Mat 17:5 NIV – While he was still speaking, a bright cloud covered them, and a voice from the cloud said, “This is my Son, whom I love; with him I am well pleased. Listen to him!” God calls you son/daughter on that mountain, and by the way Peter was the one speaking here NOT Jesus…
Let’s all find the pure river and produce healing, In Him Phil
