Good morning, all!
Father, we know that without faith it’s Impossible to please You so we pray that it is ever increasing in our life. Strengthen our faith Lord and help us to know Your voice when we face trials so that we might overcome them with the faith of a mustard seed, Your seed is bigger than any mountain we face, Amen
Galatians 3
24 Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster [to bring us] unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith.
The law was our tutor to lead us to Christ so we would be made righteous by FAITH.
25 But after that faith is come, we are no longer under a schoolmaster.
But when faith is COME we are NO longer under the tutor’s instructions.
26 For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus.
For we are ALL children of God by FAITH in Christ Jesus.
27 For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ.
For as MANY of you that have been baptized into Christ now put on His lifestyle.
28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.
Makes NO difference whether you are Jew or Greek, whether a prisoner or free, there is NOT male or female: for you are ALL one in Christ Jesus.
Bottom line
Do you remember your school days? Your favorite teacher? Your report card? Well just like school this passage is saying we are no longer under the law, which was just like our teachers, what we learned still applies but we’re NOT looking to get a good grade or worried we failed…Jesus is our report card, we can’t FAIL. We still need God’s word, it’s holy and it is our road map to live this life in fact scripture says it’s the only thing pure in our life. However, faith says the requirements of the law was fulfilled in Christ. What was the requirement?
[Heb 10:10 KJV] By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all. You see, you and I continue to learn and mature but we do it out of love NOT requirement. Jesus Christ was the perfect sacrifice; the priests would offer sacrifices year after year for the sin of the people but through Christ we are ALL sanctified once and for all…it is finished! We’re NOT finished but the completed work of the cross that it might give us a new life, a life of FAITH. We all have faith, but the question is, do we LIVE by faith?
[Heb 10:38 KJV] Now the just shall live by faith: but if [any man] draw back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him. When should we start living by faith? NOW!!! What does that mean to live by faith? It means faith triumphs over feelings, faith is above the law, it has NO end, it doesn’t make requirements of others. Faith is a belief and a choice because we believe Jesus Christ is our savior, so we choose to live by His word and His grace. Didn’t He say faith comes by hearing? David prayed Lord make to hear joy. How can you hear joy?
[3Jo 1:4 NIV] I have no greater joy than to hear that my children are walking in the truth. David knew following God’s word would produce joy in the eyes of God, it will also produce joy in our life when we follow God’s word…it is PURE, it’s NOT bias, it’s NOT condemning, it NEVER fails. God’s word and faith are one in the same, it is our true North and when we live without it, God takes NO pleasure in us.
[Rom 10:8 KJV] But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, [even] in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach. What word is in our mouth and in our heart that we preach?
[1Pe 4:10 KJV] As every man hath received the gift, [even so] minister the same one to another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God. GRACE!!! God has given EVERY man the perfect gift of grace, this is what flows from our heart and should be on our lips when we preach…LIVE life. The law was never going to make us righteous. If we believe being righteous is based on performance or a demanding requirement, that’s a slave mentality. You know what’s captive? OUR LOVE…we’re NOT free to love God or one another. Grace says the opposite, it tells me we are loved and we’re free to love one another without any requirement, without any expectation. Why do you think Jesus called the religious folks “workers of iniquity”? If you have to work for love it ain’t love and if you have to pay for it then it ain’t grace. I pray we know the grace of God and His love freely and let that be the gospel we preach.
Point to Ponder
What’s on your lips? [Col 4:6] Let your speech [be] always with grace, seasoned with salt, that ye may know how ye ought to answer every man. Grace ALWAYS!
Let’s all live by faith, In Him Phil
