Good morning, all!
Father, hear our hearts cry this morning, it wants more of You, more of Your word, more of Your grace. Teach us Lord to live as Your son, to know Your heart, to know Your truth and to know Your mercy. We belong to You Lord now and always, thank you Lord for our salvation, Amen.
Hebrews 12
23 To the general assembly and church of the firstborn, which are written in heaven, and to God the Judge of all, and to the spirits of just men made perfect,
To anyone willing to listen and the church of the TRUE firstborn, the one that began in heaven and God the Righteous Judge who always gets it RIGHT and the SPIRIT of the perfect men,
24 And to Jesus the mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling, that speaketh better things than [that of] Abel.
And to Jesus the One that negotiated a NEW promise, and the blood sprinkled that SPEAKS better than that of Abel.
25 See that ye refuse not him that speaketh. For if they escaped not who refused him that spake on earth, much more [shall not] we [escape], if we turn away from him that [speaketh] from heaven:
Don’t REFUSE to hear the better message. If they couldn’t refuse him on earth, there is NO way to escape the better message that speaks from HEAVEN.
26 Whose voice then shook the earth: but now he hath promised, saying, Yet, once more I shake not the earth only, but also heaven.
For His voice rocked the very foundation of the world but NOW promised I will again NOT only shake your world but Your heaven also.
Bottom line
So here’s what this comes down to, we ALL choose to either live by the OLD covenant or the NEW covenant…it is up to you. But before you choose, you probably need one more piece of truth this morning.
[Heb 8:13 KJV] In that he saith, A new [covenant], he hath made the first old. Now that which decayeth and waxeth old [is] ready to vanish away. Uh oh,, looks like if you choose the OLD covenant it’s going to vanish. It’s like God switch to an I-phone and we try and call Him on that old yellow dial up wall phone in the kitchen with the 20 foot phone cord on it…not sure He’s gonna get that call. Ha! Don’t want the message to get lost this morning so I’m going to keep it very simple. Notice the NEW covenant SPEAKS of something better than the old covenant, right? And then it says it’s better than Abel, right? So why Abel? Well, remember Cain and Abel offered sacrifices to God but the Lord rejected Cain’s sacrifice, so he killed Abel…so much for brotherly love. What did Abel say?
[Gen 4:10 NIV] The LORD said, “What have you done? Listen! Your brother’s blood cries out to me from the ground. His blood cries out from the ground, the earth but Jesus He is the FIRSTBORN of heaven, so His blood speaks from heaven NOT the world. The old covenant required sacrifices for man’s sin, which is to say it TAKES but Jesus the mediator of the NEW covenant He GIVES. Follow, to live in the new covenant means we GIVE to forgive, and the old covenant TAKES to forgive, and remember it was an on-going cycle always taking for every sin. Through Christ Jesus salvation is FREE, it makes NO requirement, that is a BETTER covenant. It really comes down to our true DNA, does your BLOOD…DNA…cry out from the ground or heaven? Remember she is called the VIRGIN Mary for a reason, where did the seed…DNA come from? HEAVEN!!! Now let me ask you another question, are you a member of the FRISTBORN? Hold on before you answer maybe we should check the scriptures, they tell me it holds ALL the answers to life…if you’re into that kind of stuff.
[Col 1:15 KJV] Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature. How would you define EVERY creation? Isn’t that the same as ALL? You suppose God the Judge of ALL pronounced a judgment on ALL? And if God has declared that judgment on ALL, which according to the verse has made mankind PERFECT by the SPIRIT then that should be the FINAL judgment? What makes you and I perfect? We live by the NEW covenant, we GIVE and not TAKE. And notice the NEW covenant SPEAKETH better, you suppose you and I should have something to SAY to the world? Might it sound better than the world? Than Abel? What if we are the NEW covenant through a life lived and what if the words WE speak sound like something you might hear from heaven? What if it says, I love you anyway…I forgive you anyway…I’ll help you anyway…I need you anyway. Doesn’t that sound like something the Firstborn might say? And when we SPEAK like that to others isn’t that GIVING and not TAKING? I pray we know our true DNA comes from heaven and makes NO requirement but instead GIVES to a world in need of Jesus Christ…the FIRSTBORON of ALL…
Point to Ponder
Why did God give us a new covenant? [Heb 8:8 KJV] For finding fault with them, he saith, Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah. You want to live under the NEW covenant…then quit finding FAULT with others.
