Good morning, all!
Father, thank You for a new day full of promise. We know that all of Your promises are yes and amen which means NO man can stop them. We ask Lord that You would continue to reveal Your truth to us today and then give us the strength to walk in it, Amen.
Isaiah 11
1 And there shall come forth a rod out of the stem of Jesse, and a Branch shall grow out of his roots:
After God cuts this tree down a new BRANCH will grow out of His roots…I am the Vine and ye are the branches…Son of David.
2 And the spirit of the LORD shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the LORD;
And in the branch will be the spirit of the Lord, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, spirit of knowledge and the fear of the Lord…7 spirits of God.
3 And shall make him of quick understanding in the fear of the LORD: and he shall not judge after the sight of his eyes, neither reprove after the hearing of his ears:
And this will give him a change of heart, and he will NO longer live life based on what he sees or what he hears.
Bottom line
This is a familiar passage of scripture, it speaks of God’s promise to us…which most of His word is filled with promises but this one is a little more prominent. In Chapter 10 God cuts a tree down because it looked at life all WRONG, the tree thought life was based on man’s performance…sound familiar?
[Rom 3:10 NIV] As it is written: “There is no one righteous, not even one. I really do love scripture; I thank God for this gift…we’d be lost without it. Not sure how we can confuse that verse, so why do we try to qualify ourselves? One another? It’s NOT possible, this is why we need God’s promise. You know why He cut the tree down?
[Isa 10:34 NLT] He will cut down the forest trees with an ax. Lebanon will fall to the Mighty One. He had to cut down the trees of Lebanon…self-righteous…the one that judges people based on what they see and hear them do. Does that sound like God to you?
[1Sa 16:7 NLT] But the LORD said to Samuel, “Don’t judge by his appearance or height, for I have rejected him. The LORD doesn’t see things the way you see them. People judge by outward appearance, but the LORD looks at the heart. People JUDGE but God looks at the heart, you know why? He knows what He placed in us. This is the promise, the 7 spirits of God is the heart of God. When He reveals His heart it changes us, didn’t He say that in Ezekiel? He would remove the heart of stone…judgmental…and give us a heart of flesh…compassion. What is the spirit of the Lord? It’s liberty, we NO longer live by the world’s standards they NO longer hold us captive. The spirit of Wisdom? Wisdom from ABOVE…faith, is first PURE…it doesn’t look to find sin it creates peace NOT conflict. Spirit of understanding? We understand that we are called to longsuffering, we don’t jump the gun, and we know God is at work in all of us.
[2Pe 3:9 KJV] The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish. How do some men count slackness? They GIVE UP on you, they’re NOT willing to suffer for long for you but God is…I’m sorry did God say He’s NOT willing to let any perish? HA!!! Sounds like a big God, like a God that really loves us. Spirit of counsel? God’s purpose for our life.
[Gal 4:19 KJV] My little children, of whom I travail in birth again until Christ be formed in you. Aren’t we little children at times? Immature to the things of God, UNTIL Christ be formed, where? In YOU!!! What purpose did you think your Father had in mind for you? Spirit of strength? What makes God strong?
[Psa 59:17 NKJV] To You, O my Strength, I will sing praises; For God [is] my defense, My God of mercy. His strength is MERCY so go ahead and sing. Spirit of knowledge?
[Isa 11:9 NLT] Nobody will hurt or tear down in all my holy mountain, for as the waters fill the sea, so the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the LORD. Do you have God’s knowledge? We do when we stop hurting people and tearing each other down and eventually the earth will be filled with that knowledge just like water in the sea…completely FILLED…it’s PERFECT PEACE. And the fear of the Lord? I believe most of have a sincere reverence or maybe some fear at His power but I don’t believe that is what he’s talking about.
[Isa 33:6 KJV] 6 And wisdom and knowledge shall be the stability of thy times, [and] strength of salvation: the fear of the LORD [is] his treasure. We are God’s treasure and where your treasure is your heart will be also…we have the heart of God. What heart did you think He was going to give you? You know what song God sings over us? You’re simply the best, better than all the rest…may we live with ALL the fullness of God in our heart.
Point to Ponder
Do you have the fullness of God in YOU? [Eph 1:23 KJV] Which is his body, the fulness of him that filleth all in all. ALL is ALL, any more questions?
Let’s all live with the power of God, In Him Phil
