Good morning all!

Father, we’re asking YOU today for help, we’re asking YOU to help change our priorities in this life. Help us Lord to see the day as YOU see it, help us to see what’s first on YOUR to DO list. YOUR word declares “in Him we move and have our being” so move us Lord as YOU would move so we can look more like YOU today, Amen.

Romans 2

1 Therefore thou art inexcusable, O man, whosoever thou art that judgest: for wherein thou judgest another, thou condemnest thyself; for thou that judgest doest the same things.
Therefore, you have NO excuse MAN, whoever judges others and for whatever your reason might be, YOU condemn yourself; those that judge do the same thing.

2 But we are sure that the judgment of God is according to truth against them which commit such things.
But we are sure that the true judge God judges according to truth to those that think it’s their job to do so.

3 And thinkest thou this, O man, that judgest them which do such things, and doest the same, that thou shalt escape the judgment of God?
Do you think that you can judge others for what they do when you do the same things, you think you will escape God’s judgement?

4 Or despisest thou the riches of his goodness and forbearance and longsuffering; not knowing that the goodness of God leads men to repentance.
Don’t you see how wonderfully kind, tolerant, and patient God is with you? Does this mean nothing to you? Can’t you see that his kindness should lead to a change of heart?

Bottom line

When we judge others it’s a condition of our heart and it has nothing to do with the one we judge, it’s the sign of a heart that’s broken and in need of healing. When man judges we see what other people do, or perhaps the way they look and usually form a negative opinion them. Proverbs says in the multitude of my words my sin is revealed…translation…you have something to say about everyone. You know what WISDOM says?

[Pro 31:26 KJV] She openeth her mouth with wisdom; and in her tongue [is] the law of kindness. Wisdom says we speak with kindness about others, this is the LAW that should govern our life. What’d your mom say? If you don’t have anything nice to say then zip it! The truth is nobody but God is qualified to judge because He is the only one that can see the heart of man. What kind of judge is God?

[Psa 82:8 NIV] Rise up, O God, judge the earth, for all the nations are your inheritance. Call me crazy but when God judges the earth…US… it says ALL the nations are His inheritance so when He judges us God takes possession of ALL of us. Who does that leave out? It sounds like God’s judgment is different than the way we judge people? When we judge one another we’re usually critical and don’t want anything to do with them but God does that exact opposite, He pulls us in. Maybe we don’t understand God’s judgment? Maybe we have it all wrong? You suppose that’s why God said man is inexcusable when he judges people?

[Isa 33:22 KJV] For the LORD [is] our judge, the LORD [is] our lawgiver, the LORD [is] our king; he will save us. The Lord is Judge, lawgiver and king, He is all three branches of Gov’t. Notice man plays NO part at all, God alone rules ALL and we can’t escape God’s judgment which is…to SAVE us. When we JUDGE one another it’s NOT to help, it’s the opposite it’s to HURT their character, to find flaws and we don’t INHERIT them we usually reject them…we have NO excuse for this behavior. We truly don’t understand the nature and character of our God, the only thing on His mind is saving us NOT hurting us. Did you notice of the three titles He’s given the last one is King, you know why?

[Isa 55:7 KJV] Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the LORD, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon. How does the king save US? He ABUNDANTLY pardons as in there is a lot of it so much you can’t outrun it, only a king can pardon us. I mean if God tells us to forgive first do you think He’s going to delay His? It’s the FIRST thing He does, this is His nature and character…He knows without forgiveness life is going to be a mess. Why do you think He said let the wicked FORSAKE his ways, there is nothing more wicked in the eyes of God than NOT forgiving one another…actions speak louder than words, when we don’t forgive we tell God the Cross is meaningless. And what are the thoughts of the unrighteous? That’s the one that holds a grudge, he thinks of the offense rather than choosing love and forget the offense. Can you imagine if God held a grudge? None of us would stand a chance.

[Psa 130:3-4 NIV] If you, LORD, kept a record of wrongs, Lord, who could stand? But with you there is forgiveness, so that we can, with reverence, serve you. Man thank God for the BUT in this verse or NONE of us could stand. When was the last time you spoke with your king? Don’t delay He has good news for you!

Point to Ponder

Do you have a complaint this morning? [Col 3:13 NASB95] bearing with one another, and forgiving each other, whoever has a complaint against anyone; just as the Lord forgave you, so also should you. You know how to fix your complaint?
