Good morning, all!
Father, I pray our ears be tuned to You alone today, drown out all the voices of the world, the chaos, the confusion, the anger and give us Your truth. We know that You are shaking everything that can be shaken so that Your truth and Your faith is the only thing that remains. Let it be Lord, consume every lie, every doubt, every worry and everything that sets itself up against Your kingdom. You alone are high and lifted up above it all, we look to You today to fill us with Your grace and love, Amen.
Revelation 3
18 I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and [that] the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eye salve, that thou mayest see.
So, I request your buy in and receive gold that has been tried by fire and then you’ll be rich with experience and then you’ll be clothed in white, and you will NO longer be naked and cover your eyes with salve so you will see.
19 As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent.
As many as I love…for God so loves the WORLD, I will bring your life into light and train YOU to change the way you look at life, the way you think.
20 Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.
Look, I stand at the door of your heart and seek entrance: if ANY man hear my voice and let me in, I will gladly come and will share life with him and he with ME.
21 To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne.
To the one that is no longer influenced by the world’s pull I will let them share MY throne, the same way I have come to sit on this throne to sit with my Father in His throne.
22 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.
Anyone that has an ear please listen to what the SPIRIT speaks to us…it’s the ONLY thing that matters.
Bottom line
What if I told you that you have complete access to the throne of God today? Would you believe me? Verse 20 says if ANY man hear my voice, doesn’t that include ANY of us? So, what’s the qualifier? Well according to scripture you need an ear, and you have to LISTEN. Are you listening this morning?
[Psa 51:8 KJV] Make me to hear joy and gladness; [that] the bones [which] thou hast broken may rejoice. Listening and obedience really are the same thing in the eyes of God…He does expect an audience, but did you notice when we start to listen, when God has broken my bones. What bone? My backbone…MY will. Isn’t that the prayer NOT my will but YOURS be done? It’s the same thing as the gold TRIED by fire, until we go through the fire…the difficulties of life…we don’t repent…change. When do we change? When the pain of staying the same is greater than the pain to change. The only way you and I begin to change is when we LISTEN. Now who we listen to matters, we all have a lot of voices in our life especially the one in our head…logic and reason but that’s NOT spirit.
[Rom 8:13 NIV] For if you live according to the flesh, you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the misdeeds of the body, you will live. Did you notice what must die? Not you but the misdeeds, the misled beliefs and actions that cause us to not hear God. What prevents our ears from working? It’s our eyes, we know what we see and that’s why we can’t hear God. Remember what the snake told Eve?
[Gen 3:5 KJV] For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil. God said if you eat from the tree you’ll die, the snake…the lie you believe…says your eyes will open to good and evil NOT faith, NOT heaven and NOT God. I guess that’s why scripture tells us to walk by faith and NOT by sight, it also tells us that faith comes by hearing NOT seeing. Can you hear this morning? He said the overcomer gets to share His throne, what have we overcome? Hate, anger, bitterness, jealousy, strife, worry, unbelief, pick the emotional state of mind that floods your soul. Here’s what I do know, the throne of God in the tabernacle is known as the MERCY seat. You know how it got that name, right? Yeah, that’s what you receive so if we’re sharing the seat with Him, we should probably offer MERCY to others, if we have NOT overcome being hurt and offended, we will NOT occupy that seat. You know which seat we occupy when we don’t offer mercy to others?
[Rev 2:13 KJV] I know thy works, and where thou dwellest, [even] where Satan’s seat [is]: Oops it’s the Snake again, the one that brings railing accusations and doesn’t offer forgiveness. You know he can’t share the throne with God, right? But when we’re tried by fire we’re given a white robe, we are righteous and start to look at the world different and not with eyes of a snake but with eyes of faith. That’s why we need eye salve on our eyes, it changes our vision from seeing hurt to seeing a throne of mercy.
Point to Ponder
Are you wearing your white robe? [Psa 37:21 KJV] The wicked borroweth, and payeth not again: but the righteous are shown mercy, and giveth. I know which robe you have on based on what you choose to give or keep…pay it forward, it’s the only way to the throne.
