Good morning, all!
Father, you know our hearts this morning, we ask that You meet each one of us where we are today. Lord we are grateful and give thanks for who You are and for what You’ve done for us, but Lord we are thirsting. We know not what will satisfy us but Lord You do, so pour out Your spirit on Your sons and daughters this day, Amen.
Isaiah 44
1 Yet now hear, O Jacob my servant; and Israel, whom I have chosen:
Would you just listen to Me now, whether you think you got it all together or not.
2 Thus saith the LORD that made thee, and formed thee from the womb, [which] will help thee; Fear not, O Jacob, my servant; and thou, Jesurun, whom I have chosen.
I know what I’m doing, I made you and formed you in the womb, I will HELP you so don’t worry, you are My servant, My favorite the one I’ve chosen.
3 For I will pour water upon him that is thirsty, and floods upon the dry ground: I will pour my spirit upon thy seed, and my blessing upon thine offspring:
I will pour water upon those that thirst, I will flood your dry land with abundance and pour My spirit on your seed and bless your children.
4 And they shall spring up [as] among the grass, as willows by the water courses.
And they will grow like a well-watered lawn, like tall willows by a river.
Bottom line
I see this as a very beautiful piece of scripture this morning, I believe God is pleading with us to STOP and LISTEN to Him. You know why? It’s going in one ear and right out the other, we no sooner get a word from God, and we forget it quickly. You know what happens when we forget about the creator of mankind in our daily lives? The Father of us all? FEAR!!! Worry and anxiety creep in and dry out our land, we have NO harvest, NO fruit, NO growth. I hope you can see it this morning, God tells you He formed you from the womb and then says He will help. Follow…When you were born who helped you? Did you get the milk yourself? Get dressed yourself? Did you start to talk and walk on your own? This is the kind of help God is speaking about, a loving parent. We didn’t ask our parents for help when we were born, they just took care of us. Why? We NEEDED them. So why is that so hard to believe that your Father in heaven will take care of you? Because just like a child that starts to grow up, we begin to think we know better than our parents or we don’t need them. You feel me?
[Luk 18:17 NIV Truly I tell you, anyone who will not receive the kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it. You want to enter the kingdom this morning? All we need to do is be that little child wholly dependent on His father and when He puts his arms out and tells you to jump…JUMP!!! I’m not sure what we think as we get older? As though God would look at us any different or say, well you’re all grown now so you don’t need my help, good luck…really? I don’t know about you, but my children are grown, and have their own careers but when they call me, I will usually drop everything for them, you? Did you notice He calls us Jesurun and NOT Isarel? You know why? Because no matter how old you get or how strong you are or how smart you think you are God still sees His little child that He brought into the world…Jesurun is an endearing nickname that He’s given us. Did you have one when you were little? I did, in fact, I have one of my mother’s charms with that nickname engraved on it…no, I’m not telling you it’s NOT very masculine-Ha! But you know like pookie, peanut, pumpkin, sweetie…how cool is that? God is the first parent to give His children a loving nickname. The name means My little righteous one, I love that God will always see us as His little child, innocent, pure and full of promise. That’s my prayer for all of US this morning, that you know you’re FULL of the promise of God. Maybe you feel as though you’ve been in a dry season or perhaps you haven’t felt much like smiling or laughing, let’s just say you’re thirsting for something. I understand but your Father the same yesterday, today and forever sees His child and He knows that we’re thirsting for something more so trust Him. God will flood your soul with joy, with hope and promise, you know why? You’re still His little righteous one and you will NEVER get old in His eyes. I pray you see new life spring up before your eyes and you become just like that willow as your Father pours into you everything He has so you rise tall above the mire for the world to see…keep thirsting.
Point to Ponder
You know where God keeps your picture? [Isa 49:16 AMP] “Indeed, I have inscribed [a picture of] you on the palms of My hands. He can’t put it away and carries you wherever He goes…
Let us all thirst for more of God, In Him Phil
