Good morning, all!

Father, we know that You alone own life and death. Nothing goes through Your hands except it fit in Your plans for our life. Help us to see the true enemy in us that causes us to lose hope, lose faith and prevent us from loving You and loving our neighbor for which life itself is made complete. Bring Your truth and grace to light today in us so that we might be set free the enemy, Amen

1 Samuel 2:6 The LORD killeth, and maketh alive: he bringeth down to the grave, and bringeth up.
This is one of the more controversial verses in the bible, the Lord killeth?

Isn’t the 6th commandment thou shalt NOT kill?

Bottom line

So what exactly is the Lord killing? Not people, right? Of course not, but He is killing something that will get buried in the grave…it NO longer has any life…no more influence over us. HIS ENEMY!!! Ok so I have a few questions that we need to answer, like WHO? WHERE? And HOW? We’ll start with how and where first so let’s go to the scriptures.

[Psa 45:5 KJV] Thine arrows [are] sharp in the heart of the king’s enemies; [whereby] the people fall under thee. The “where” of course is our heart, you didn’t think God was going to share it with the enemy did you? And the “how” is the SHARP arrow which is God’s word targeted at the lie we believe in our heart…also known as the enemy. The heart is our passions, convictions and motivations, the things that influence the way we live. God’s very particular about what influences the way we live, if you know anything about His nature and character, He’s partial to MERCY & TRUTH…the sharp arrow. What might the enemy be partial to? Yeah, the opposite a PRIDE & LIES!

[Jhn 8:44 KJV] Ye are of [your] father the Devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do…when he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it. NO matter what the lie is it can only come from one place, the Devil who of course is the enemy. What’s the lie?

[Rev 12:10 KJV] And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night. The lie is the accusation the Devil speaks, he puts you on blast to God and others. And do you know how many people the Devil has lied to?

[Rev 12:9 KJV] And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him. The WHOLE world, you know how we become deceived? We BELIEVE the accusation. So, if Satan accuses what does the God of truth have to say about, you know the One that is protecting your heart?

[Gal 3:8 KJV] And the scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the heathen through faith, preached before the gospel unto Abraham, [saying], In thee shall all nations be blessed. Looks like the God of truth is the one that will justify us, He blesses ALL nations so who does that leave out? And who can level a charge? And what does the accuser do after they level a charge against you? They want you to pay the price for the charge, you know the punishment should fit the crime.

[Rom 8:1 NIV] Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. The word condemnation means that which is worthy of punishment, but when you believe in Jesus Christ there is NO condemnation. If you think you should be punished or someone else that is a lie, the enemy. [Rom 8:7 KJV] Because the carnal mind [is] enmity against God: The enemy of God thinks you deserve to be punished, what does God think?

[Rom 11:32 KJV] For God hath concluded them all in unbelief, that he might have mercy upon all. The God that protects our heart says don’t believe the lie, I’m not looking to punish anyone for MY mercy is for ALL. I believe it’s time for us to kill every lie that separates us from God and one another.

Point to Ponder

What has the power to kill every enemy we have? [Gal 2:21 NIV] I do not set aside the grace of God, for if righteousness could be gained through the law, Christ died for nothing! It’s GRACE and only GRACE otherwise Calvary was for nothing.
