Good morning all! Father, we know that You created the greatest garden ever created, we couldn’t begin to describe it’s beauty. You alone are the keeper of that garden, and You alone provide the water so that it continues to grow, Amen. Think about it, will your garden grow without water? Ever see what happens to your lawn in a draught? Does God water the garden?
Psalm 65
Psa 65:9 KJV – Thou visitest the earth, and waterest it: thou greatly enrichest it with the river of God, which is full of water: thou preparest them corn, when thou hast so provided for it.
Looks like the Lord is gonna pay is a visit and GREATLY enrich us with a river…HIM…and will provide what he carefully prepared for each one of us.
Psa 65:10 KJV – Thou waterest the ridges thereof abundantly: thou settlest the furrows thereof: thou makest it soft with showers: thou blessest the springing thereof.
Looks like our land has ridges and furrows but God will make them soft with His river, in turn it will become a blessing.
Psa 65:11 KJV – Thou crownest the year with thy goodness; and thy paths drop fatness.
He has crown our year with His goodness so to THINK of it any other way probably ain’t right, our paths will create plenty.
Psa 65:12 KJV – They drop upon the pastures of the wilderness: and the little hills rejoice on every side.
They create plenty in a wilderness: and these little hills that pop up on every side will rejoice.
Bottom line
Well, what do you know? According to scripture, God does water the garden. You know we’re the garden, right?
Sng 4:12 NLT – You are my private garden, my treasure, my bride, a secluded spring, a hidden fountain. Makes sense that if He made us a garden then He knows how to tend it and provide for it. What I really love is, what is the first place God creates on earth? The garden of Eden. Of all the things to create…He didn’t build a mansion…He didn’t build a church…He didn’t build an altar…He built a garden. And what does Eden mean? His pleasure.
Psa 149:4 KJV – For the LORD taketh pleasure in his people: he will beautify the meek with salvation. I’m not sure how we can see this any other way this morning, YOU are the Lord’s pleasure…His garden of Eden. Okay, if you’re tracking so far what was in the garden? Adam? Eve? Serpent? Hmm…is it possible they represent something spiritually?
1Th 5:23 KJV – And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. Spirit…Soul…Body, that’s the three. Isn’t it funny, most of us have blamed serpent for life’s problems or maybe Eve or perhaps Adam. Again, according to scripture we should be BLAMELESS. That doesn’t mean it applies to just us but then we get to blame somebody else. Blameless means we place NO blame on others. This is why God has to come along and water the ridges and furrows in our garden, I believe the ridge is our mouth and the furrow our eyes. Think about it, God waters those places to produce fruit. What’s the fruit of our mouth?
Num 7:89 KJV – And when Moses was gone into the tabernacle of the congregation to speak with him, then he heard the voice of one speaking unto him from off the mercy seat that was upon the ark of testimony, from between the two cherubims: and he spake unto him. Looks like the mercy seat has a mouth, what do you suppose it might say? Hmm…I forgive you! What is the fruit of our eyes?
Gen 6:8 KJV – But Noah found grace in the eyes of the LORD. Wow! When we look into the eyes of God you find grace. That makes sense, if God loves us shouldn’t we find mercy and grace in His garden?
Tit 2:11 KJV – For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men. I pray God water you until you can see His grace appearing for ALL!!!!
Point to Ponder
How much water do we need? Isa 58:11 KJV – And the LORD shall guide thee continually, and satisfy thy soul in drought, and make fat thy bones: and thou shalt be like a watered garden, and like a spring of water, whose waters fail not. Enough to guide US always, thank God they fail not.
Let’s be live as a well-watered garden, In Him Phil
