Good morning all!

Father, thank You Lord for another day and for the glory that will be revealed this morning. We know that You alone are the only One that can truly open or close this world, You alone can silence all the critics and produce the angelic sounds of heaven, Amen. Have you noticed many places are closed? So, what’s open?

Deuteronomy 28

9 The LORD shall establish thee an holy people unto himself, as he hath sworn unto thee, if thou shalt keep the commandments of the LORD thy God, and walk in his ways.
The Lord will make us faithful people that belong to Him, that’s His promise, we will keep His commands and live by faith…NOT circumstances.

10 And all people of the earth shall see that thou art called by the name of the LORD; and they shall be afraid of thee.
ALL the people in the earth will see that we are CALLED by His nature and character, we have NO fear.

11 And the LORD shall make thee plenteous in goods, in the fruit of thy body, and in the fruit of thy cattle, and in the fruit of thy ground, in the land which the LORD sware unto thy fathers to give thee.
The Lord will make sure you have plenty, fruit of BODY, fruit of CATTLE, and fruit of GROUND, in the place He expects us to live…it’s called the PROMISE land for good reason…we receive it.

12 The LORD shall open unto thee his good treasure, the heaven to give the rain unto thy land in his season, and to bless all the work of thine hand: and thou shalt lend unto many nations, and thou shalt not borrow.
Now the Lord will OPEN His good treasure, and when things appear to dry up He will send His rain, and bless ALL the work that’s been taken place, we’ll have so much we lend to MANY and have NO need to ask for anything.

Bottom line

Deuteronomy 28 is a very well-known piece of scripture, it’s God’s promise of blessings and curses. Now, God doesn’t curse anyone if He did that would make Him a conditional God or performance based…there’s a thousand verses that tell us His mercy ENDURES forever so that can’t be the case, we run out of patience NOT God. What does it have to endure? My foolishness! I hope you can see it this morning, when do these blessings come? When we fear God, not in a natural way but by acknowledging that He alone has ALL power no matter what we face. When you and I have fear it’s actually a selfish position, you know why? We are now focused on ourselves, we don’t want X to happen to us. You see, that’s the curse. When I start to worry about me or my circumstances I eliminate God from the equation. I know we think there’s a good level of fear or worry but that’s not true based on scripture.

[Psa 118:6 KJV] 6 The LORD [is] on my side; I will not fear: what can man do unto me? Let’s ask ourselves this question this morning, does God want me to have fear? NO, He’s on our side so when we do fear it’s like saying He’s NOT on our side. Once God deals with the elimination of our fear, now He can produce FRUIT. He said there was fruit in 3 different places…body…cattle…ground. Here’s what I see starting with the BODY, are we the body of Christ? Sure, so what’s the fruit?

[Gal 5:5 KJV] 5 For we through the Spirit wait for the hope of righteousness by faith. There’s that patience, He said we wait…on who? One another. We believe the righteousness that we are will become evident in how we live and until then we don’t give up on one another instead we have HOPE, we believe in each other. The cattle, that means we have wealth. You know I ain’t talkin about your bank account, what makes us wealthy?

[Jas 2:5 KJV] 5 Hearken, my beloved brethren, Hath not God chosen the poor of this world rich in faith, and heirs of the kingdom which he hath promised to them that love him. You didn’t think God was going to consider you a rich person without FAITH did you? I don’t think so, you can be sitting on millions without faith you broke as a joke-Ha! The ground, didn’t God say several times to several leaders take off your shoes the ground you’re standing on is holy? Sure, so what makes us holy? LOVE! And what’s the fruit of love? FORGIVENESS! We can either hold our ground…NO Lord I will not forgive, which if I’m honest that’s really based on my own insecurities said another way…fear…or I can give up my ground, my hardened position and forgive…congratulations you have just produced fruit of the ground. I don’t now call me crazy but if God OPENED His own private treasure box with GOOD treasure then it oughta produce something good in our life, right? Faith, hope and love…didn’t He say that’s all that remains?

Point to Ponder

Why do you suppose the GROUND is the last one to produce fruit? [Gen 3:23 KJV] Therefore the LORD God sent him forth from the garden of Eden, to till the ground from whence he was taken. The first shall become last, the Lord sent Adam NOT throw him out and he was sent to work the GROUND…God is the same yesterday, today and forever…go work the ground and produce fruit.
