Good morning all!
Father, we know You know all things and that all things work together for those You love. Help us to see You more in our lives and hear Your voice so we can declare Your truth and love, Amen. If you’re like me you might be asking the question is there any light at the end of this tunnel? Where’s the light?
Isaiah 50
1 Thus saith the LORD, Where [is] the bill of your mother’s divorcement, whom I have put away? or which of my creditors [is it] to whom I have sold you? Behold, for your iniquities have ye sold yourselves, and for your transgressions is your mother put away.
The Lord is asking us for proof of divorce…love failed…proof of debt…righteousness failed, God played NO role in that process…it’s our lifestyle.
2 Wherefore, when I came, [was there] no man? when I called, [was there] none to answer? Is my hand shortened at all, that it cannot redeem? or have I no power to deliver? behold, at my rebuke I dry up the sea, I make the rivers a wilderness: their fish stinketh, because [there is] no water, and dieth for thirst.
How come when I came there was no one there? You don’t think I have the power to save? Have you seen MY resume? It’s pretty solid.
3 I clothe the heavens with blackness, and I make sackcloth their covering.
I usually do some of MY best work in the dark, you didn’t even know it was ME.
4 The Lord GOD hath given me the tongue of the learned, that I should know how to speak a word in season to [him that is] weary: he wakeneth morning by morning, he wakeneth mine ear to hear as the learned.
I’m the One that taught you how to speak the right words to those that are weary, in that darkness I awakened your ear so you could speak what I whispered in your ear.
Bottom line
What if I told you the light has been there all along we just didn’t see it?
[Luk 11:35 KJV] Take heed therefore that the light which is in thee be not darkness. You know when we turn off the light inside us? When we don’t see the love and righteousness of God in our life, that’s why God asks us for the proof of divorce and debt. When does the God’s love fail? NEVER is the right answer, now what about the relationship?
[Jer 3:14 KJV] Turn, O backsliding children, saith the LORD; for I am married unto you: Not sure how we can confuse this verse but God of the universe just told us He’s married to you, so what does that mean? The Husbands vow is to love and protect. Sometimes we live our life as though God doesn’t love us or He’s not protecting us, but that’s NOT what the bible says.
[Lam 3:22 NASB] 22 The LORD’S lovingkindnesses indeed never cease, For His compassions never fail. God’s love don’t stop and can’t fail…Amen! And what about His righteousness? Do we have it?
[Rom 3:22 KJV] Even the righteousness of God [which is] by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference: I hope you can see it this morning, God’s NOT asking for you’re approval or disapproval…it makes NO difference, ALL are righteous based on Jesus Christ not what you think. This is why God asks who does He owe? Who is His creditor?
[Rom 4:5 KJV] But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness. Funny, while it’s impossible for God to owe anyone or anything and yet He gave it ALL! You see, God came calling and nobody from the church answered Him, why? Let’s work the equation backwards…when we don’t see the people in our life as being righteous (Greek word means without fault) we expect they have to do something or not do something to be right…that means they have a debt. And once I see people in my life with debt, I divorce them…love has failed…and Heaven is now clothed in darkness. God calls us to love one another and to see one another as righteous…it makes NO difference. We ALL have a light within us, don’t turn it off by seeing fault in others and then not loving them.
Point to Ponder
Who are you? [Psa 24:3-4 KJV] Who shall ascend into the hill of the LORD? or Who shall stand in his holy place? He that hath clean hands, and a pure heart; who hath not lifted up his soul unto vanity, nor speaketh deceitfully. Who will be His wife? And who will share His house? A wife that sees others righteous and loves them…clean hands, pure heart.
Let’s all see the light, In Him Phil
