Good morning, all!
Father, this morning we seek You before all others and trust that Your love will never fail us. Help us to see Your hand in our life no matter what we may go through and to know that Your plans can not be thwarted and victory will come as we wait on our Lord and Saviour, Amen. Seek Him…
Isaiah 45
18 For thus saith the LORD that created the heavens; God himself that formed the earth and made it; he hath established it, he created it not in vain, he formed it to be inhabited: I [am] the LORD; and [there is] none else.
The Lord CREATED…carved like a sculpture from stone…the heavens…plural and God FORMED…like a potter with clay the earth; He decided what it would be and did so with purpose so that it would be INHABITED…to live in it; and there isn’t anyone else but Him that did it.
19 I have not spoken in secret, in a dark place of the earth: I said not unto the seed of Jacob, Seek ye me in vain: I the LORD speak righteousness, I declare things that are right.
I’ve been very clear I never said to the families of the earth seek me for nothing, when I speak I can only do what is RIGHT for your life and do without any SUBJECTIVITY.
20 Assemble yourselves and come; draw near together, ye [that are] escaped of the nations: they have no knowledge that set up the wood of their graven image, and pray unto a god [that] cannot save.
All of you should JOIN hands together and COME, all that ESCAPE the other nations; the nations that don’t KNOW God because they join hands with their idols which can’t SAVE them ever.
21 Tell ye, and bring [them] near; yea, let them take counsel together: who hath declared this from ancient time? [who] hath told it from that time? [have] not I the LORD? and [there is] no God else beside me; a just God and a Saviour; [there is] none beside me.
Make sure you TELL others and bring them NEAR also, yes they can receive the RIGHT counsel TOGETHER w/you; WHO has spoken this before the world existed? WHO spoke this before time actually began? Was there anyone but the Lord? And there is NO other JUST God and did I mention the ONLY Saviour; there is NO substitute.
Bottom line
Forgive me this morning but here’s what I thought of as I re-read this passage this week…follow along…911 what’s your emergency? I need God…He’s already on the way. It doesn’t matter how big or little your problems are the FIRST call should be to our Heavenly Father. What Father would deny their children in their hour of trouble? And did you notice what makes God just? Means always does the right thing…He’s our SAVIOUR…it’s His responsibility to SAVE us, the world’s only true emergency responder. You know why?
[Psa 34:19 KJV] Many [are] the afflictions of the righteous: but the LORD delivereth him out of them all. Okay, you know you’re righteous in the eyes of God because you have MANY afflictions…trials, troubles, tough times, moments of confusion, a time when you feel forgotten, overwhelmed, tired, scared, helpless…many means many BUT God doesn’t leave it there He didn’t say SEEK ME in vain, it’s the second half of the verse HE delivers us from SOME of the afflictions…just checking to see if you’re following along…HE said ALL of them…ALL is ALL. So why have the afflictions in the first place?
[Psa 55:19 KJV] God shall hear, and afflict them, even he that abideth of old. Because they have no changes, therefore they fear not God. First before you go blaming someone else for your affliction or your pain you better look to God first, NOT your co-worker. Second, God spells it out right here the purpose for the affliction…WE won’t CHANGE without the trouble times. That’s why it’s MANY afflictions, he gets me out of my first one and I’m grateful and a week later I’m up to my old tricks just like Jacob trying to win the game called life being a swindler, conniving and manipulating my way through life. He did say the SEED of Jacob, what’s inside of Jacob? Heaven…the inner man, the Christ man, the SEED. Jacob is a picture of the earth man, BUT then God wrestles with Jacob and the fight don’t last for long because eventually Jacob understands the LOVE and the POWER of God and quits fighting Him and instead HOLDS onto God and says I will NOT let go until you bless me…CHANGE me so I look more like YOU, live more like YOU, love more like YOU and God answers the prayer and says you will NO longer be called Jacob…swindler, trickster, manipulator, your new name, your new life will called Israel…which means God prevails…translation…GOD never loses anything…especially YOU!!! God created heaven and earth, He created your spirit man and placed it inside your earth…the clay…reason, logic and emotions…all of them temporary. The afflictions are used to break the clay so God can get to your heaven, a life lived by faith and NOT reason and logic. None of us worship actual idols, the idols are the reason and logic we hold onto in life…if you listen to it you worship it.
[2Co 4:7 NIV] But we have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this all-surpassing power is from God and not from us. Two eternal truths this morning, don’t worry about the clay jar He’s looking to reveal your treasure, and this just in…we can’t stop GOD this is His plan and His power surpasses us all. Remember He is our saviour and His job is to SAVE us from living a clay filled life so we can get to the treasures of heaven, He has to change us to save us.
Point to Ponder
So how much change we talking about? [Gen 42:8 NIV] Although Joseph recognized his brothers, they did not recognize him. God’s gonna change you so much your own momma won’t recognize you…
