Good morning all!
Father, we know that You are our Victor and King. There is no army, no weapon and no war that will stop You. You pursue the war for our hearts and You don’t stop fighting until You overcome every obstacle that separates us from You, Amen. Have you ever been overcome by a feeling so powerful you can’t describe it?
Revelation 17
Rev 17:10 KJV – And there are seven kings: five are fallen, and one is, and the other is not yet come; and when he cometh, he must continue a short space.
There are 7 who rule; 5 are no longer, one that is, one not yet but when he does it will be for a short time.
Rev 17:11 KJV – And the beast that was, and is not, even he is the eighth, and is of the seven, and goeth into perdition.
And this beast that was, he ain’t no more, there is now the 8th man that was from the 7th man that now is destroyed.
Rev 17:12 KJV – And the ten horns which thou sawest are ten kings, which have received no kingdom as yet; but receive power as kings one hour with the beast.
And this beast had ten horns of power which represent 10 kings, unfortunately they NO kingdom YET; they have power for one hour.
Rev 17:13 KJV – These have one mind, and shall give their power and strength unto the beast.
These kings all think alike, and their power and strength is misguided and given to the beast.
Rev 17:14 KJV – These shall make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb shall overcome them: for he is Lord of lords, and King of kings: and they that are with him are called, and chosen, and faithful.
And these kings fight with the Lamb, but the Lamb wins; He is Lord of all, and King of all; and they that seek Him He calls them chosen and faithful.
Bottom line
I hope you can see the colorful images God uses to demonstrate His love for us. You know He loves us this morning, right?
1Jo 4:19 KJV – We love him, because he first loved us. He pursued us first, He noticed you from across the dance floor and said I just have to have you. Most of us play hard to get, you feel me? News flash, He doesn’t give up on us…He’s smitten by love and nothing but our heart will do. It’s this love that causes God to fight for us,
to pursue every enemy that is out to hurt us.
Psa 139:1 NIV – For the director of music. Of David. A psalm. You have searched me, LORD, and you know me. Remember, Jesus went and found His disciples, they didn’t find Him. I hope you can see that this morning? Yes, you…He searches for you. What? You think once God searches for you if He don’t like what He sees, He
leaves? As though the battle is too big for Him? This is what Revelation is speaking about in this passage, God is fighting with these kings. Who are they? Five have fallen, one is and one will be for a little while?
Jhn 4:18 KJV – For thou hast had five husbands; and he whom thou now hast is not thy husband: in that saidst thou truly. The five fallen kings are the same representation as the five husbands from the woman at well…you know the well represents the depths of your heart, and she was not married to the 6th…Adam. The five fallen kings are our five senses, the have all the power in our life they rule every decision we make. They also hurt us, they separate us from our true husband Christ. What a great picture this morning, to know that Jesus Christ will fight for our hearts. And what are the ten kings that have power but NO kingdom? I think that every thought that separates us from God’s kingdom…fear…doubt…regret…self-pity…worry. You know why they have power? You gave it to them. What did you think was at war with a Lamb? Kind of ridiculous picture, right? Can you imagine taking up arms and fighting a Lamb…it’s the most submissive animal. And yet that’s the very nature that wins the war…the Lamb. You know how He won our heart, right? It’s called Calvary. I pray you have a real revelation of God’s love for you and His endless pursuit for your heart…so you would become truly overcome by His love.
Point to Ponder
Is God really coming for me? Rom 8:35 KJV – Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? He’s coming and NO matter what we face…no matter how bad or dark…NOTHING shall separate you from His love.
Let’s all be overcome by the love of God, In Him Phil
