Good morning all!
Father, I pray that this week as we celebrate Your risen Son that the world would experience the true depth of Your love. A love that we really can’t put into words, but by Your spirit we can know it’s real, feel it’s presence and hold onto it with blessed assurance. Thank You Lord for the greatest foundation You’ve laid in our life, a foundation that no man can lay but You alone by Your love and forgiveness, Amen. When life gets crazy, what keeps you grounded? Job? Money? Family? Are you grounded?
Ephesians 3
Eph 3:14 KJV – For this cause I bow my knees unto the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,
And for this reason do I surrender my life to the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,
Eph 3:15 KJV – Of whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named,
Which is over the entire family He created in heaven and earth,
Eph 3:16 KJV – That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man;
That He would give you also, according the true riches of His glory, so that you will find your real strength by the Spirit of the Christ man inside of you;
Eph 3:17 KJV – That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love,
And Christ who actually lives in your heart by faith; that you never fall or be moved from a life grounded in love,
Eph 3:18 KJV – May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height;
So you may be able to understand and experience with ALL people the width, and length, and depth, and height;
Eph 3:19 KJV – And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fullness of God.
Knowing the love of Christ, which there’s not a natural explanation for that kind of love, and you will be filled with ALL the fullness of God.
Bottom line
Listen, if you haven’t noticed yet…life can get crazy and according to scripture…you know the eternal truth that will NEVER change…just saying…the only strength you and I have in this life is by the power of the INNER man. And how do we know how strong we are? Suns out guns out…Ha!
Sng 8:6 NIV – Place me like a seal over your heart, like a seal on your arm; for love is as strong as death, its jealousy unyielding as the grave. It burns like blazing fire, like a mighty flame.
This is a WOW verse, Solomon is asking for his love to be a permanent seal on God’s heart and the permanent evidence of His strength. How strong? Solomon says he’ll never stop loving even if it takes him to a grave. It will burn like a mighty flame…you can see the evidence of a that mighty love. What if every decision you made in life was rooted and grounded in love? Isn’t that the life of Jesus Christ? Can we at least think like that on Easter weekend? I mean where do you think the love of Christ took Him? Yea…Calvary…love as strong as death…thank you Jesus! Because of this beautiful weekend we celebrate this love, and you and I truly are rooted and grounded in the love of Christ. In this passage Paul encourages the church to comprehend this love with ALL the saints, now don’t get too holy on me…ALL the saints is the same as the WHOLE family in heaven and earth…He’s NO respecter of persons, anything less than love for ALL is NOT love. Paul then gives dimension to this love, that means we can SEE it. If I tell you I love but never show you any evidence of love, is it really love? It’s kinda like the expression if the tree falls in the forest and nobody is there, does it make a sound? What is the width of God’s love?
Psa 103:12 KJV – As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us.
This is one of my favorite verses in the bible, the width is from east to west…the world. And did you notice not only does He forgive the world of their sin, He removes it…translation…I love too much to leave the sin in your life or you’re liable to beat yourself up and then you can’t feel my love. What is the length of love?
Jer 31:3 KJV – The LORD hath appeared of old unto me, saying, Yea, I have loved thee with an everlasting love: therefore with loving kindness have I drawn thee. Again a personal favorite, His love has NO end…through all our craziness He can’t stop loving us. How deep is His love? Remember the Bee Gees hit “How deep is your love”, do you remember the words? “You’re the light in my deepest, darkest hour, You’re my savior when I fall”. I don’t know about you, but those lyrics sound just like God…He’s the only One that can pull us out of any hell we may experience in this life.
Psa 16:10 KJV – For thou wilt not leave my soul in hell; neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption…enough said. And how high is love?
Jas 2:5 NIV – Listen, my dear brothers and sisters: Has not God chosen those who are poor in the eyes of the world to be rich in faith and to inherit the kingdom he promised those who love him? Love that reaches His kingdom…heaven. This is the kind of love that passes knowledge, we can’t explain it but we can live it. Not to get too crazy on this beautiful weekend, but do you suppose if we actually loved like that? Would you really have to put it in words? I don’t know about you but, I’d rather see your love and feel your love than hear about it…you feel me? I believe we have to press through our natural reasoning of love and love like Christ, but I know when we do we according to the word of God we are FILLED with ALL of God…and that’s gotta feel good.

What was the first message given? 1Jo 3:11 KJV – For this is the message that ye heard from the beginning, that we should love one another. He did say WE…I hope this weekend your WE gets a whole lot bigger.
