Good morning, all! Father, we know that You are always focused on Your children, not a day goes by without Your eyes on us. You have said in Your word that ALL who weary should come to You would give us rest, so we receive Your invitation today to come away with You for there is NO better place to be, Amen.
Song Of Songs 2
10 My beloved spake, and said unto me, Rise up, my love, my fair one, and come away.
My sweetheart spoke and said to ME, Rise up, MY love, MY beautiful one and come away with Me.
11 For, lo, the winter is past, the rain is over [and] gone;
For the cold times are past and the rainstorms are over and gone;
12 The flowers appear on the earth; the time of the singing [of birds] is come, and the voice of the turtle is heard in our land;
There are signs of new life in the earth; the time for birds to sing is come, and the voice of the turtle dove fill the air with love in OUR land;
13 The fig tree putteth forth her green figs, and the vines [with] the tender grape give a [good] smell. Arise, my love, my fair one, and come away.
You can see the fruit that is ready to be taken and the wonderful smell of the tender grapes. Arise, MY love, MY perfect one and come away with ME.
Bottom line
Remember that song by Styx in the 70’s it was called “Come sail away”? The song opened with “we set an open course for virgin seas cause we have to be free”. Well, this is the original version of that song sung by our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He won’t dare chart a new course in life without His beloved, the first command is RISE up. We should always rise first when it comes to God, and His open course that leads to our freedom is found in the heavens…RISE! Which is to say don’t be trapped by this world instead rise up in faith and believe in your Lord and Savior that He will never abandon you. This really is a beautiful promise, did you notice when our Beloved calls us away? After the storms of life have passed. And maybe they made a mess of things…no worries, Jesus says come away with Me, I’m taking you some place new, a place that the old place will pale in comparison. There’s evidence of new life, not an ordinary life, this one holds the beauty of a rose, and you can hear birds singing. Why birds? Well maybe it’s been a while since you’ve had something to sing about so God will show you the way, He will give you a new song in your heart. And in this new place you can hear the turtle dove, the turtle dove is never present in the storm, but they show up after…it represents peace and love, can there be a greater combination coming out of the storms of life?
[1Th 5:13 KJV] And to esteem them very highly in love for their work’s sake. [And] be at peace among yourselves. When we come away with Jesus, we rise up beyond life’s storms and problems and we have a revelation from heaven since we have entered into the only true realm of life. And you know what’s been revealed to us? We should esteem others highly because we love, and true love will only produce PEACE among the people in our life. Did you notice the tree produced GREEN figs…it’s called LIFE. And the tender grapes? That represents the NEW covenant, the one that is lived by grace alone and NOT by works lest any person might brag about what they accomplished. So how do we get it? You have to COME when He calls, simple as that…there’s nothing for us to do.
[Heb 4:16 KJV] Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need. Come with reservations? Guilt? Shame? NO, NO, NO…. Boldy as though His love for us is as fresh as when He first laid eyes on us. The throne speaks of authority to rule and reign so if the name of the throne is called GRACE do you suppose that’s what He’s ruling heaven and earth with? And when should we approach His throne? When we get our life in order? When we clean up our act? NO, NO, NO it says when we need HELP in our time of NEED-Ha! Wow, God must really love us and want to be with us…don’t you think? Arise My love and be at peace today for My love for you will never change and when you need help, I want you to run to Me…Come away!
Point to Ponder
Is it possible that God’s taking our relationship to the next level? [Luke 14:10 YLT] But, when thou mayest be called, having gone on, recline in the last place, that when he who called thee may come, he may say to thee, Friend, come up higher; then thou shalt have glory before those reclining with thee. The only way to receive the glory of God, you have to come up higher.
Let’s all come away with Jesus, In Him Phil
