Good morning, all!

Father, we can see all the division in the world today, but we know that Your word is truth and prevails. Help us Lord to see You today, help us hear Your voice and follow Your path. We know that all Your ways bring salvation and peace, teach us to be that path to all, Amen. Message is pretty simple, God’s not concerned with any side, He’s looking for restoration…come together.

Ephesians 6

6 And hath raised [us] up together, and made [us] sit together in heavenly [places] in Christ Jesus:
We have all been elevated TOGETHER so that we might rest TOGETHER in the completed work of Jesus Christ;

7 That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in [his] kindness toward us through Christ Jesus.
So that as we MATURE, we would recognize the countless riches…yeah true value of HIS grace which is evident by His kindness in a life lived through Christ.

8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: [it is] the gift of God:
His grace is what saved us, but we have to believe it and NOT try and add anything else to it…it’s a true gift from God.

9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.
The last thing ANY man should do is look to take credit for any of it.

10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.
For WE are His workmanship…His masterpiece…created in Christ to do GOOD works, which was God’s plan before any of us were born which is to live by faith.

Bottom line

This really is such an incredible piece of scripture. The first thing we notice in these verses is God’s purpose for us, together…together…together. God is looking for His children to come together, when? NOW!! How can we say we know God and His grace and not come together? God always unites and never divides people, we all belong to Him. However, this is done in heavenly places…yes, we have to live by faith. Our faith in God should always cause us to come together to become one in Christ and NOT be separated. If we would see that we’re all saved the same way and nothing we do can add or take away from it, we might look at one another differently…the gift of God’s grace. I mean can we be saved by anything else besides the grace of God? And are we all
saved by the same loving God?

[Tit 2:11 KJV] 11 For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men. Maybe it’s by this grace that we can accept one another, love one another and forgive one another. And why did God give us this grace? Well according to scripture it’s His kindness NOT His wrath. Do you suppose God really has that much kindness?

[Isa 54:10 KJV] 10 For the mountains shall depart, and the hills be removed; but my kindness shall not depart from thee, neither shall the covenant of my peace be removed, saith the LORD that hath mercy on thee. You know when the mountains of worry and doubt depart? When you start to see God’s kindness in your life and His promise for you to live in peace and NOT always think He’s mad at you. Think about it, we probably spend a good portion of our life thinking God is upset or disappointed with us and the other portion working on how to fix it. This passage completely debunks that thinking. The truth is God’s kindness towards us will NEVER depart because His end result for us isn’t to punish us, it’s actually the opposite it’s PEACE. Now the way to a life of peace is done without boasting…don’t think you’re better than the other guy…also known as humility. Pride and peace do not go hand in hand, in fact, scripture declares that the pride is a destroyer of peace.

Pro 28:25, The proud person stirs up division, but the one who trusts in the LORD will prosper. I’m not sure how you define prosperity, I just know you can’t have it when you stir up strife. Why do you think in the last verse of this passage God says we are created for GOOD works and to walk in them? How’s your walk? Is it distinct? You know, like John Travolta in Saturday night fever?

[Eph 5:2 KJV] 2 And walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet smelling savour. When we have a lifestyle that is only motivated to love people and NOT judge them, when we can love them and NOT hold a grudge, when we can love them and NOT make them earn our approval…we are truly seated TOGETHER in heavenly places with Christ Jesus…tell me that’s not a sweet smell…

Point to Ponder

You know how God creates His masterpiece? [Psa 104:30 NLT] When you give them your breath, life is created, and you renew the face of the earth. It’s created when you and I give the face of the earth a new identity, and new creation…love and grace…be the face of Christ today.
