Good morning all!
Father, we know that Your love for us prevails throughout the ages and no matter what man says You are Lord of all. You are the giver of love, You are the One that defines what it is and what it is not. Your love for us can not be measured, Your love for us is life, Your love for us is crazy, Amen. Haven’t we all seen some crazy acts of love? Perhaps even demonstrated some ourselves. The stronger the love the crazier the demonstration…crazy love!
Romans 8
14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.
Sons of God are LED by the spirit and there are MANY.
36 As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.
Led where? It’s well documented, for the sake of the Lord we are KILLED all the days just like sheep for the slaughter…the sacrifice.
37 Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.
BUT, no matter what we face we are MORE than a winning sacrifice through Him that LOVED us.
38 For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,
For I am extremely confident that death, nor life, nor the unseen, nor thoughts, nor influence, not anything we face or have yet to face.
39 Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Not in my deepest sorrow or highest high, nor any person can separate US from God’s love which is present through the spirit of Christ which rules our lives.
Bottom line
This is a powerful piece of scripture that really shows God’s love for us as well as the length of His love…ETERNAL!!! This really should give us tremendous peace this morning knowing that no matter what we face, think, do or have done it can’t separate us from God…translation…love saves us NOT separates us…NOTHING is NOTHING…that right there is an Amen moment. Now, God begins this passage by telling us that we are all children of God…translation…we have the same nature and character as our Father. The Bible speaks of two kinds of love, there is the Phileo which is a surface kind of love…you’re nice to me I’m nice to you. And what happens if you think someone’s not nice? We SEPARATE…clearly NOT that love God is speaking of here. The love God speaks about here is Agape love, love that is given and defined by Heaven which is the nature of God our Father. Agape love has one rule to follow and it’s rather simple, it says my love is NOT optional…translation…nice to me or not I’m still going to love you…Crazy love. Now doesn’t that sound like God to you? Doesn’t that sound like something that could change a life? To know we are loved always and can love the same way, love is NOT a feeling it is SPIRIT. You know when love becomes optional? When our feelings get hurt, that is Phileo love NOT Agape. Agape love is unfailing, it is without limits or barriers it’s only purpose and mission is to love others.
[Psa 86:5 NLT] O Lord, you are so good, so ready to forgive, so full of unfailing love for all who ask for your help. Why is God SO good? He’s ready to forgive. Who? ALL Who ask…who does that leave out? The only way for our love to fail, to be optional is when we don’t forgive others…also known as quid pro quo…this for that. Call me crazy but that sounds like a payment, that sounds like an exchange and NOT a gift from heaven. I mean it’s either love or a payment, which one is it?
[Isa 50:1 KJV] Thus saith the LORD, Where [is] the bill of your mother’s divorcement, whom I have put away? or which of my creditors [is it] to whom I have sold you? Behold, for your iniquities have ye sold yourselves, and for your transgressions is your mother put away. God doesn’t owe anyone anything, He’s the creator and God doesn’t divorce us. We sell ourselves short and separate ourselves from God because we don’t believe in a God that good, that loving because we measure Him by the world’s standards, the worlds’ love…optional. There is nothing optional about the love God has for us and He has no debt, He owes NO man. It’s just His pure love that can never fail and never give up…on YOU…crazy love.
Point to Ponder
If love doesn’t cause separation what does? Pro 17:9 Love wins when a fault is forgiven, but dwelling on it separates close friends. Unforgiveness separates and if you dwell on your past, you can’t win…be MORE than a conqueror!
