Good morning all!
Father, we know life has it’s challenges and we pray that we would learn and grow from them. Lord show us how to win, teach us to live a life of victory and to know the difference between Your win and the world’s win, Amen.
Deuteronomy 28
12 The LORD shall open unto thee his good treasure, the heaven to give the rain unto thy land in his season, and to bless all the work of thine hand: and thou shalt lend unto many nations, and thou shalt not borrow.
So many things to emphasize in this verse…God OPENED His treasure…He blesses ALL we put our hand to…we are called to lend to MANY…makes sense God has a BIG treasure chest.
13 And the LORD shall make thee the head, and not the tail; and thou shalt be above only, and thou shalt not be beneath; if that thou hearken unto the commandments of the LORD thy God, which I command thee this day, to observe and to do [them]:
God will MAKE us the head and NOT the tail, and we shall be ABOVE only, and NOT beneath; listen to God’s word and that which He has commanded for us to observe and DO.
14 And thou shalt not go aside from any of the words which I command thee this day, [to] the right hand, or [to] the left, to go after other gods to serve them.
And we will NOT live any other way except by the guidance God has given us, we will NOT be deterred by what’s on our right or left for His path is STRAIGHT & NARROW.
15 But it shall come to pass, if thou wilt not hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to observe to do all his commandments and his statutes which I command thee this day; that all these curses shall come upon thee, and overtake thee:
And IF we don’t follow ALL His words for life, well…things may NOT go well for thee.
Bottom line
Listen, the true bottom line is a life with God will provide you with so much you can lend to MANY…yes, more than you can count. You know why? God’s NOT stingy. Now, you do understand God’s definition of lending, right? Yeah it’s called forever. So why lend? His treasure is too precious we dare not put a price tag on it, instead lending establishes trust and friendship with one another. Love NEVER charges anyone but it will LEND others for as long as necessary…powerful. So what’s His treasure? Hmm…maybe we should start with the head NOT the tail.
[Rev 10:1 KJV] 1 And I saw another mighty angel come down from heaven, clothed with a cloud: and a rainbow [was] upon his head, and his face [was] as it were the sun, and his feet as pillars of fire. The mighty angel had a rainbow on his head with feet of fire. We are called to walk…live with nothing but love, notice they are pillars…true strength. Now what’s symbolic of the rainbow? [Gen 9:13 NKJV] 13 “I set My rainbow in the cloud, and it shall be for the sign of the covenant between Me and the earth. The rainbow represents God’s redemption of the earth, it’s a promise that He would not allow it to be destroyed ever again. So, if the head is the rainbow and it represents restoration then what’s the tail? Maybe that’s what causes the destruction?
[Rev 9:10 KJV] 10 And they had tails like unto scorpions, and there were stings in their tails: and their power [was] to hurt men five months. The only tail we have to wag is the one in our mouth, we destroy the earth with the words we speak…we condemn one another. Didn’t God say life and death are in the power of the tongue? When God says He will make us the head and not the tail He’s speaking about a way of life, why do you think He said don’t turn to the right or the left? Stay the course live above ONLY…faith and no other way.
[Pro 11:13 KJV] 13 A talebearer revealeth secrets: but he that is of a faithful spirit concealeth the matter. The talebearer hurts mankind, they hurt themselves, they hurt the person they share the tale with whether it be true or not and they hurt the one they speak the tale about. As though that lifestyle would bear the fruit of heaven, God says the faithful person does the exact opposite they CONCEAL the issue and don’t put people on blast. You know why we hurt each other? Revelation says we hurt men for 5 months, the five as we know represents our five senses…our emotions. What I’ve learned over the years is my emotions generally are NOT faithful, they go and up down, NOT what I would call a firm foundation. I guess that’s why we need the fruit of heaven? Gal 5:23 Gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law. There are 9 fruits of the spirit, the very last one is SELF-CONTROL…translation…control our emotions, we have that power and NOTHING can come against it. I believe self-control is last for a reason, I suppose it will take a life time to master it and we all become faithful and conceal the wrongs done to us…translation…the only way to conceal it is to FORGIVE!!
Point to Ponder
How does God define winning? [Phl 3:8 NIV] What is more, I consider everything a loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whose sake I have lost all things. I consider them garbage, that I may win Christ. Pretty clear…of all the options to CONSIDER there’s only ONE way to win…live like Christ.
