Good morning all!
Father, we pray today that You would reveal the power you placed inside of us. The power to live this life no matter what we face, what see or what we hear. Let all that is within us bless Your holy name and declare the power of Your love and mercy, Amen. Many of you have seen the Gator-Ade tag, is it in you? The answer is Yes, God put it there.
Psalm 103
1 [A Psalm of David.] Bless the LORD, O my soul: and all that is within me, [bless] his holy name.
Bless the Lord, with MY life and all that is WITHIN ME, bless His HOLY name.
2 Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits:
Bless God again, and whatever you do DON’T forget ALL His benefits…no deductible.
3 Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases;
He forgives ALL sin, even the one not committed yet; and heals ALL our diseases…do we believe that?
4 Who redeemeth thy life from destruction; who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies;
He pulls us from destruction; and then places a crown on our head giving us the same ability to love and forgive tenderly.
Bottom line
What makes God holy? The fact that He doesn’t sin? Or the fact that He forgives ALL sin? Hold that thought, let’s look at another verse.
[1Pe 1:16 KJV] Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy. Wow, scriptures tell us to be holy just like God so maybe it’s NOT for a lack of sin, instead it’s our ability to forgive. Maybe that’s why God places a crown on our head as a symbol of our true authority and power, forgiveness. Didn’t Jesus say something about the power He gave us?
[Mar 2:10 KJV] But that ye may know that the Son of man hath power on earth to forgive sins. We shouldn’t forget that benefit given to us by our Father in heaven, the power to forgive sins on EARTH not heaven. [Luk 24:49 NLT] And now I will send the Holy Spirit, just as my Father promised. But stay here in the city until the Holy Spirit comes and fills you with power from heaven. We have all received the Father’s promise which is His spirit which FILLS us with the POWER from heaven. There is nothing natural about forgiveness, it has no intellect, no reasoning, it’s not an emotion, if it were, we’d never forgive, it is the sole power from heaven. This is what makes you and I holy, the same thing that makes God holy. Before we get this crown, God pulls us out of destruction, what was destroyed?
[Psa 55:9 KJV] Destroy, O Lord, [and] divide their tongues: for I have seen violence and strife in the city. Hey what do you know, we’re not destroyed it’s our tongue. Do you suppose God destroys and separates the words we speak to each other that creates rejection and division in our city…our life? What causes the violence in the city?
[Psa 73:6 KJV] Therefore pride compasseth them about as a chain; violence covereth them [as] a garment. It’s PRIDE, it always pride; when we don’t follow the example of Jesus Christ and forgive. We wear our pride like it’s a badge of honor as though it defines who we are, and when we do we’re actually clothed with violence and strife. Call me crazy but maybe it’s pride that keeps us from forgiving one another and that’s what makes us wicked and NOT holy?
[Psa 10:4 NIV] In his pride the wicked man does not seek Him; in all his thoughts there is no room for God. There you have it, there’s no way you can make room for pride in your life and God…it says there’s NO room for God in ALL your thoughts. Only one way to make room for God, take off the chain of pride and the robe of unforgiveness and God will move in today…don’t leave home without Him.
Point to Ponder
How big is heaven? [Luk 14:22 KJV] And the servant said, Lord, it is done as thou hast commanded, and yet there is room. There’s always more room…
