Good morning, all! Father, according to Your word we have a kingdom that meets all our needs and fulfils all Your promises. Make us to understand and live according to Your purpose for our life so that we leave nothing on the table. We know that Your kingdom is the greatest and will last forever, Amen. Do we live in God’s kingdom?
Hebrews 12
25 See that ye refuse not him that speaketh. For if they escaped not who refused him that spake on earth, much more [shall not] we [escape], if we turn away from him that [speaketh] from heaven:
Simply put we can run but we can’t hide, let alone escape the judgment of God…He’s going to do what He wants to do…no permission required.
26 Whose voice then shook the earth: but now he hath promised, saying, Yet once more I shake not the earth only, but also heaven.
When they crucified Jesus, the world went dark and there was an earthquake…a physical shaking but now since that didn’t move us God will also shake heaven…YOUR inner core.
27 And this [word], Yet once more, signifieth the removing of those things that are shaken, as of things that are made, that those things which cannot be shaken may remain.
There is great significance in this shaking, God shakes the things that have been made by man so the only things that can remain are made by God…they are eternal.
28 Wherefore we receiving a kingdom which cannot be moved, let us have grace, whereby we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear:
And what exactly is eternal? Well it’s the kingdom of God made by God for US…not FUBU but FUBG-Ha! And notice what we do in this kingdom…serve ACCEPTABLY with grace.
29 For our God [is] a consuming fire.
God is this…a fire that consumes anything that is NOT part of His kingdom.
Bottom line
So what exactly is God telling us here? Well, we all build kingdoms…it’s called the life you choose to live. You determine who’s in charge, what gets spoken, what goes on and who is welcome. Here’s the problem with our kingdoms, if we’re honest NOT everyone is accepted in our kingdom and that’s because we create expectations that are NOT the same as God’s. And this creates division, God will NOT dwell in a kingdom that is divided or separated. This problem goes all the way back to the death of King Solomon…NO peace…Israel was divided ten tribes in the north and two in the south…let the problems begin. Makes sense He’s the Father of all creation, it’s like being divorced and asking Him to pick a house for Christmas-Ha! He says, I don’t think so instead I will fix the problem and unite the kingdom. Step one, take down all these man-made kingdoms so that there’s only one left…it’s called heaven…all are invited, and all are treated the same…UNITY!! Why do you think God is a CONSUMING fire? He doesn’t consume US, He consumes confusion, sorrow, fear, doubt, bitterness, anger, envy…whatever it is that divides us from one another. All of those things mentioned are made by us NOT God, these are the things we find in our kingdom, and they lead to condemnation, rejection and separation. We think it’s no big deal and we can still navigate life without God taking issue with it, after all we do love Him. But God loves us far more and He knows what’s best and He will not allow us to live in this corrupt state because it’s a LIE. Go right back to the garden of Eden, the problem started with a LIE!!! It’s what separated Adam and Eve from God. What do you expect God to do? Just walk away and let us live a lie? Doesn’t seem very loving to me, you? We can start with the three things that remain forever according to God’s word, faith, hope and love. And if we had to pick the one that is the most important to God…the greatest of these is love. Now God’s love is NOT corrupt, it doesn’t get offended, it’s long suffering and it’s NOT selfish others come first NOT last, and it has NO conditions, God can’t love us any more or any less than He does right now. He is our faithful husband, and we are His bride, you know what our wedding gift is? His KINGDOM contains all we need to live this life and NOT just get by but to live it to the fullest with all His benefits. That’s right we get benefits being married to Him, protection, provision and promise. In His kingdom WE serve just like Him with GRACE, it’s the only acceptable method to govern in His kingdom. Do we live in His kingdom?
[Pro 22:11 KJV] 11 He that loveth pureness of heart, [for] the grace of his lips the king [shall be] his friend. What if we looked at each other with the same PURENESS of heart that God does? And what if we spoke to each other with nothing but grace? What if we treated each other as though we were friends with God? Wouldn’t that make us all friends? Doesn’t that sound like a kingdom that’s united and stands forever? I guess that’s why Jesus was declared the glory of His Father full of grace and truth, NO such thing as living in truth without grace…let’s make sure that’s the only thing leaving our lips.
Point to Ponder
What is God’s purpose for life?[2Ti 1:9] Who saved us and called us with a holy calling, not according to our works, but according to His own purpose and grace, which was granted to us in Christ Jesus from all eternity. The only way to live with His purpose is by GRACE…kingdom doesn’t exist without it.
Let’s all live in His kingdom by grace, In Him Phil
