Good morning, all!
Father, we know that You are moving in the earth today, the sun rises and falls and at Your command and You have set the boundaries of this world. Lord, open our hearts to receive Your word, Your truth and Your grace. Make us one with You and Your will so that we might become the perfection of heaven, Amen
Revelation 21
1 And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.
And God gave me a NEW revelation of His spirit it was full of faith and truth and my reason and logic passed away and the roaring sea was NO more.
2 And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.
I saw a holy life, a NEW city to live that life it was birthed from God in heaven, He prepared the bride for her HUSBAND.
3 And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God [is] with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, [and be] their God.
I heard heaven speak, Look the church of God is with mankind and God will live with them, they belong to Him and God himself shall BE for them and with them, HE is their God.
4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.
And God will wipe away their tears of repentance and they shall NO longer live for themselves for they are NOW married to Christ so sorrow, crying, pain and FORMER things NO longer steal our joy.
Bottom line
I pray we can see new hope in this passage this morning, I pray God would open the eyes of our heart and find His truth. In the opening verse you and I see something new, which is to say we have a NEW understanding of faith and the love of God. Notice we can SEE a new heaven and earth; you know it’s not physical? You and I have new FAITH and new TRUTH but also notice God told us there’s something missing…NO more sea. Why? That sea was part of my old heaven and earth…hmm maybe the sea influenced my old faith and old truth?
[Isa 57:20 KJV] But the wicked [are] like the troubled sea, when it cannot rest, whose waters cast up mire and dirt. It is our sea of emotions; I mean what else causes trouble? It stirs up the dirt and it cannot find rest…Peace.
[Col 3:15 NLT] And let the peace that comes from Christ rule in your hearts. For as members of one body, you are called to live in peace. And always be thankful. Peace is a fruit of the spirit NOT an emotion and peace should RULE our heart and when it does, we live as ONE body, we don’t stir up mire and dirt on others. Now you may NOT feel like living in peace with me, trust me I get it…sometimes I don’t like living with myself-Ha! But our new heaven and new earth…new lifestyle…is based on faith and truth NOT emotions. Faith says to live in peace in ONE body, I dare say your feelings will NOT tell you that, so God wants us to remove the sea from our choices in life. Now once God eliminates the sea, He is ready for the next phase of our life, we see a NEW Jerusalem that was PREPARED in heaven, so it has NO influence of worldly thinking. And this new city that was prepared is a BRIDE and you know why God prepared a bride? That’s easy there’s going to be a wedding, a time for excitement and celebration. We no longer live unto ourselves but instead we are joined to Christ as ONE body and when Christ is the HEAD of the household, we live our new life together as ONE in faith and truth. Why do you think Jesus walked on the sea? Peace ruled His heart, and the sea had NO influence and what He said or how He walked…we walk by faith. Now if we are the bride of Christ shouldn’t we walk with Him? Yeah of course, it wouldn’t be much of a marriage if He goes one way, and we go the other. But notice when we walk with Him it says the tabernacle of God was with men, the church found mankind NOT the other way around. Why the tabernacle? This is our WORSHIP! Going to church on Sunday and stirring up dirt is NOT the life God has called you and I to live. You think God cares if we read our bible, pray, go to church on Sunday, pay tithe but then NOT live in peace with the people on our life?
[Pro 17:1 KJV] Better [is] a dry morsel, and quietness therewith, than an house full of sacrifices [with] strife. You want a better life? All we need is a grain of truth, the lie is thinking we have a right to be mad at others and hold onto a conflict. The word Jerusalem in the Greek means double peace, your new city…life…it offers others peace because we have peace. He said the FORMER things are passed away, my OLD life that caused pain and sorrow now knows how to live by faith and truth and WALK on the sea with NO conflicts…it’s called forgiveness.
Point to Ponder
You know how the sea will disappear? [Pro 22:10 NLT] Throw out the fool, and fighting goes, too. Quarrels and insults will disappear. Get rid of the fool and your sea will disappear.
Let’s all live by the only rule that matters, In Him Phil
