Good morning all!
Father, we know Lord that You are above all our problems, worries and doubt. You alone are worthy to be praised and all the glory belongs to You. We thank You Lord for all we have, all we are, and for all You have yet to reveal, thank You Lord for loving us, Amen.
Psalm 93
Psa 93:1 KJV – The LORD reigneth, he is clothed with majesty; the LORD is clothed with strength, [wherewith] he hath girded himself: the world also is stablished, that it cannot be moved.
The Lord is in charge, He wears the greatest robe of majesty; it’s just like Superman’s cape NOTHING is stronger than Him: and what He has created cannot be moved.
Psa 93:2 KJV – Thy throne [is] established of old: thou [art] from everlasting.
His seat of authority has always been, in fact, it never left and ain’t going anywhere…ever.
Psa 93:3 KJV – The floods have lifted up, O LORD, the floods have lifted up their voice; the floods lift up their waves.
The floods rise suddenly, O Lord, they become very loud; they produce monstrous waves that crash on Your land.
Psa 93:4 KJV – The LORD on high [is] mightier than the noise of many waters, [yea, than] the mighty waves of the sea.
But You Lord sit above all the noise and all the crashing of waves, You are stronger than all of it.
Psa 93:5 KJV – Thy testimonies are very sure: holiness becometh thine house, O LORD, for ever.
This testimony is VERY faithful: Your house will become HOLY, now and always.
Bottom line- Okay, so did you notice the Lord’s parable in this passage? How long has God been in charge? Where is His throne? How strong do you think He is? That’s right not even the raging sea that has become the greatest tsunami upon the earth is any match for God. There’s a lot of noise right now in the world, virus, shutdown, economy, gov’t, and whatever else is going on in your house…catch my drift? Any of you have the answer to all of them? I’m not even sure I know exactly what the question is? Call me crazy but maybe God doesn’t want anymore questions, maybe He’s looking for a declaration? What does the bible have to say regarding the subject?
Tit 3:9 KJV – But avoid foolish questions, and genealogies, and contentions, and strivings about the law; for they are unprofitable and vain. There you go…asked and answered, quit asking foolish questions. Should I fight? Should I argue? Should I debate? Should I worry? According to scripture, when that’s our position we are unprofitable…we are of NO benefit to God’s kingdom…we’re also vain…empty of the God life. Again, call me crazy but maybe all those questions we create of uncertainty in our mind actually takes God off His throne and places us in the middle of the flood? I mean think about it, if we remove God from any part of our life whether big or small, good or bad…isn’t that the definition of uncertainty? He said the floods have a voice, the waves actually speak? YES! That’s you and I when we speak from that place of uncertainty, I mean we go to church on Sunday but then Monday rolls in and who knows what wave is going to hit us. We say things like, but what about? Or how come? Or you never know…and my personal favorite…just in case.
Now, did you notice the last verse of this passage God declares His testimony is VERY sure and NOT a question, it wasn’t uncertain…SURE is SURE. And when our testimony is sure, God’s house becomes HOLY…to be called out and separated from the world…you’re either joined to the world or joined to God… you will either despise one and love the other but you can’t love both. Listen, let’s start to dump the foolish questions, the uncertainty, don’t add to the noise of the sea…be like Peter, walk on it, let your faith see Christ in your storm and keep your eyes on Him and continue to walk towards Him. Is there anything in your life more SURE than the love and strength of Jesus Christ?
Point to Ponder
Who do you despise? Isa 57:20 NLT – But those who still despise Me are like the restless sea, which is never still but continually churns up mud and dirt. Let’s quit stirring up dirt and stir up more faith.
