Good morning, all!

Father, we pray that Your message reaches the world, and let it change their mind, their heart and the way they see this life. We know Your message is pure and right, it is filled with wisdom that transcends time and it is our very salvation. We know when You reveal Your word it causes us to run so let us run the life with passion and conviction and give You glory, Amen.

1 John 1

5 This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.
This is THE message and NOT A message, we have heard of Jesus Christ, and we declare what is true and right, God is a light and in Him is NO darkness.

6 If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth:
If we say we have a relationship with God and live in darkness, we LIE and do NOT the truth.

7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.
BUT if we live in the LIGHT as HE is in the light, we have fellowship with all the people in our life and the blood of Jesus Christ cleanses our thinking from ALL sin.

8 If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.
If we say we have NO sin and we deceive ourselves and the truth is NOT evident in our life.

Bottom line

Notice John said THE message and NOT a message, what’s the point? There are a lot of messages in the gospel of Jesus Christ, however, they are all birthed…had a beginning from the very first message and ALL flows from there. And what was the message John declares unto us? God is light…what were the first recorded words from God? “Let there be light”. You know the Sun was created on the fourth day, right? So, if God is a light what are talking about here?

[1Jo 4:8 KJV] He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love. God is love, it completes Him and makes Him whole…it is His very essence. Think about what else dispels our dark times? LOVE!!! Why did God create the light of love anyway? Was there a need?

[Gen 1:2 KJV] And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness [was] upon the face of the deep. Oh, that makes sense there was darkness upon the FACE of the deep. Hmm…you don’t suppose that face is our face and that maybe we are too DEEP with intellect and NOT enough love? Is it possible the darkness on our FACE is speaking of our vision? Perhaps BLINDED, maybe blinded by reason and logic and we don’t see love and mercy? God can only see us through the eyes of love, it is His only motivation when it comes to His relationship with us. So, what blinds our eyes spiritually and causes us to walk in darkness?

[Jhn 8:12 KJV] Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life. Do you suppose when and who Jesus spoke these words to is relevant? It was when the religious folks caught the woman in adultery and they wanted Jesus to condemn her, Jesus did the compete opposite…He set her FREE…it’s called forgiveness. We can’t walk with God and condemn people of sin, the eyes of faith CHOOSES to love instead of condemning. When we condemn others for sin, we are blind, we walk in darkness. Did you notice when we walk with Jesus in life what we also receive? The light of LIFE…NOT death. When we accuse and condemn one another we walk in death, we lie and the truth is NOT in us, we produce death in our lives and don’t even know it. And who is the father of lies also known as the accuser of the brethren? Doesn’t scripture tell us he also causes blindness?

[2Co 4:4 NLT] Satan, who is the god of this world, has blinded the minds of those who don’t believe. They are unable to see the glorious light of the Good News. We can’t say we walk with God and condemn others, we’re actually walking with Satan…also known as the prince of darkness. The word of God should produce a light, it should produce love and forgiveness…this is the good news of Jesus Christ. You know Jesus only read one passage of scripture in church, you suppose that holds the answer…the message.

[Luk 4:18 KJV] The Spirit of the Lord [is] upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised. Is the spirit of Lord upon you this morning? Good, then make sure the blind receive their sight because they SEE you love them and set FREE the one that has bruised you and forgive them.

Point to Ponder

Do you walk in light? [Jdg 5:31 AMP] So let all Your enemies perish, O LORD; But let those who love like the rising of the sun in its might. And the land was at rest for forty years. ALL your enemies will perish when you love like the rising sun…it’s rises daily to provide light and warmth and never discriminates…it shines on the whole world.

Let there be NO darkness in our life, SHINE!
