Good morning, all!
Father, we know that You are moving among us and changing our minds, our hearts, our lives. Give us the strength Lord to wait on You always and not trust the world, or the proud and to refuse every false way. For we will hold onto You, Your faithfulness and Your love and trust You while we wait, Amen.
Psalm 25
1 [[A Psalm] of David.]] Unto thee, O LORD, do I lift up my soul.
You Lord are the One that I LIFT up my life to.
3 Yea, let none that wait on thee be ashamed: let them be ashamed which transgress without cause.
Yes Lord, let NONE that WAIT on You be confused or troubled, and those that DON’T wait on you will be confused for they have NO excuse.
5 Lead me in thy truth, and teach me: for thou [art] the God of my salvation; on thee do I wait all the day.
I know YOU alone will show me how to LIVE in Your truth, for You are the God of SALVATION so I will WAIT on YOU each and every day.
21 Let integrity and uprightness preserve me; for I wait on thee.
Let innocence and remaining still keep me from all trouble; because I will WAIT on You.
Bottom line
Did you happen to notice how many times God told us to wait? Three times…didn’t He say in the third day you be perfected? You know what makes you and I perfect in the eyes of God? WAITING!!! You know why God told us three times? Because the first two times we didn’t wait, instead we took matters into our own hands. For us to truly wait on God takes maturity, strength and most important…you have to be real confident with your relationship with God…it’s called TRUST. God calls out three benefits that come from waiting on Him, the first is we shouldn’t be confused or worried. Makes sense, now it doesn’t mean we understand everything that’s going on but we don’t live in fear and dread. The second and the one that will begin to change us is God leads and teaches us as we wait, He leads in the way of faith, and we understand the difference between truth and feelings. I mean let’s be honest, when we don’t wait for God it’s because we don’t like the way we feel. Maybe while we wait we exchange our feelings for faith, we trade our confusion for His truth. And did you notice when we do this? ALL the day…ALWAYS!!! Do we always WAIT on God before we make a decision? Before we act? Before we speak? God expects us to always wait on Him and it doesn’t mean we’re passive while we wait, what should we do while we wait?
[Psa 147:11 AMP] The LORD favors those who fear and worship Him [with awe-inspired reverence and obedience], Those who wait for His mercy and lovingkindness. We WORSHIP God while we wait, we become closer to Him and we begin to hear His voice more clearly, more often, more confidently. Do you lift your soul up to God? Your life? If you do then you WAIT! And what keeps us preserved, protected from the evil one? God said integrity and uprightness, what is integrity? It means we have a principle that we’re NOT willing to change or let go of no matter what we face or what people choose to say about us. And what is uprightness? It means we don’t bend the rules to get what we want? You know blur the lines as though faith has NO boundaries. Do you live with boundaries?
[Psa 74:17 NIV] It was you who set all the boundaries of the earth; you made both summer and winter. Wow! We will all face a wonderful warm summer and a cold hard winter but God set boundaries in the EARTH. No matter if we face good or bad we are limited to place where are to live? You know where we should all live?
[Heb 10:38 KJV] Now the just shall live by faith: but if [any man] draw back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him. The place we live is called BY FAITH, and if we draw back God takes NO pleasure in that lifestyle. It does require faith to wait, the opposite of waiting is wandering from God…hmm didn’t Israel wander for 40 years before reaching the promise land? So maybe waiting on God it allows to DRAW closer to Him instead of pulling back, it allows to know the will of our Father, it allows us to enter the promise land. I guess that’s why scripture tells us the Lord is our Shepherd, sheep will always WAIT on their shepherd’s direction before they move…let’s WAIT for our Shepherd…He may truly lead you to your promised land.
Point to Ponder
Do you wander or wait? [Pro 21:16 KJV] The man that wandereth out of the way of understanding shall remain in the congregation of the dead. Yikes…make sure you wait, I don’t think you want to remain in a church full of dead folks…sounds like it will leave you lifeless and lost.
Let’s all wait on the Lord, In Him Phil
