Good morning all!
Father, we know that You sit above heaven and earth and see all things, there is nothing hidden from Your view. You see your plan, your promise and fulfillment of the vision you have established for Your kingdom, Amen. Most big companies have a vision for their employees, do you suppose God has a vision for His kingdom? What’s His vision?
Habakkuk 2
Hab 2:1 KJV – I will stand upon my watch, and set me upon the tower, and will watch to see what he will say unto me, and what I shall answer when I am reproved.
I will climb to my post up in the tower and I will wait to see what the Lord will say to ME and what I should do when He does.
Hab 2:2 KJV – And the LORD answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make [it] plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it.
The Lord said, write this down and make it very simple to read so when it’s read it will cause the reader to run with the same message.
Hab 2:3 KJV – For the vision [is] yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry.
For “the vision” is for a set time, but at the END it will speak, and NOT lie: though it tarry, WAIT for it; because it will surely come, and when it does it will NOT be late.
Hab 2:4 KJV – Behold, his soul [which] is lifted up is not upright in him: but the just shall live by his faith.
Those that doesn’t believe they need the vision are NOT upright; but the righteous will only live by HIS faith.
Bottom line
Having trouble with the vision? Did you notice the servants first move? Climb the tower…translation…we need to see life from a higher vantage point. Why?
Psa 68:1 NIV – Let God arise, his enemies be scattered; and his foes flee before him. If we would let God arise in our thinking and understanding…higher vantage point…maybe we wouldn’t have so many enemies…people we don’t care much about. Silly question, if we were to ask God should we care about so and so, what do you suppose His response might be? The old saying whose my neighbor?
Jer 22:8 KJV – And many nations shall pass by this city, and they shall say every man his neighbour, Wherefore hath the LORD done thus unto this great city? MANY nations NOT just yours will speak with EVERY man his neighbor, the Lord has done this. Maybe we should quit blaming one another for life’s situations and get in the tower and see the work of theLord. Then we should make the message real simple, make it crystal clear so there’s no mistaking it. It will cause others to run when they see it, it will make them say I want some of that, I need that, I simply can’t live without it. What is “it”? It’s the VISION! It’s a vision so big and so beautiful it has One visionary, One source, One purpose for all.
Gal 4:19 KJV – My little children, of whom I travail in birth again until Christ be formed in you. The vision is this, Christ will be formed in you first and then in the earth. This why Paul would travail AGAIN in birth? You know he ain’t actually having a kid. He will endure the pain, the issue, the challenge of life’s circumstances because he knows Christ is being formed in him and the others that are involved in his life. How will the earth be filled with the glory of God?
Eph 3:19 NLT – That you experience the love of Christ, though it is too great to understand fully. Then you will be made complete with all the fullness of life and power that comes from God. Call me crazy but when I experience love it’s plain for me to read, while I don’t fully understand love at times it does make me run…run Forest run…so run the race that you may obtain the prize, the only prize that matters, it has NO price tag, it can NOT be exhausted, it can NOT be denied and though it may tarry it will surely come…the love of Christ. Habakkuk is a strange name…hmm, what does it mean? Embrace…embrace the vision, let the people in your life experience the love of Christ, make is so great they can’t fully understand it.
Point to Ponder
Why do fire fighters run into burning flames? Don’t run from the heat, run to it and save a life.
Let’s all embrace the vision, In Him Phil
