Good morning all!

Father, I pray as we bring a close to the year 2017 that You would declare a NEW day for the body of Christ. We believe that by Your loving hand You can make ALL things new, so we ask You for a new day, a new revelation and new change in our life. Not a little change, a real change, a big change, a change that will totally transform the way we live for You, Amen. Boy it’s real easy to jump on the band wagon and say goodbye to 2017 fast, right? You know, put a fork in it! Why? Well, I believe it’s our desire for something better, something different, perhaps something new. The problem with thinking like that is you and I will say the same thing by the end of 2018. You want a new day?

Joel 3

Joel 3:17 KJV – So shall ye know that I am the LORD your God dwelling in Zion, my holy mountain: then shall Jerusalem be holy, and there shall no strangers pass through her any more.

The day does come and you know God dwells in a higher state of mind, those thoughts belongs to Him: then you’ll live holy in peace and you won’t look at people as though they’re strangers…no regard.

Joel 3:18 KJV – And it shall come to pass in that day, that the mountains shall drop down new wine, and the hills shall flow with milk, and all the rivers of Judah shall flow with waters, and a fountain shall come forth of the house of the LORD, and shall water the valley of Shittim.

Finally a new day is here, and those that live on higher ground bring forth the best wine you’ve ever tasted, and the hills around them pure milk, and nothing but truth flows from Judah, body, soul and spirit…nothing but the life of Christ.

Joe 3:19 KJV – Egypt shall be a desolation, and Edom shall be a desolate wilderness, for the violence against the children of Judah, because they have shed innocent blood in their land.

Your worldly thinking becomes desolate, and living like Edom (selfish) becomes an empty lifestyle, because thinking and living like that hurts people and displeases the Lord.

Joe 3:20 KJV – But Judah shall dwell forever, and Jerusalem from generation to generation.

Now the church will be a NEW church, one that loves and forgives this is REAL peace which God has determined will go on from generation to generation…eternal life.

Bottom line

I’m sure most of you have heard of the end time prophecies from Joel, if you’re like me you might have even sang those ole time gospel songs about better days. I think Joel was saying the same thing we say today, looking for better days that will flow with nothing but the goodness of God. Now, riddle me this batman, this book was written almost 3,000 years ago before the birth of Christ. Do you suppose we should still be waiting for better days? Mat 5:17 NIV – “Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them.

These are the very words of Christ, of course His birth, death and resurrection has FULFILLED every law written and every prophecy spoken…by the way that’s includes Joel. You and I have the new day right NOW, why can’t we see it? HA…cuz we ain’t living it. Verse 18 says it all, God tells us 5 times that wine, milk and water should flow…how’s your flow?

Sng 4:16 KJV – Awake, O north wind; and come, thou south; blow upon my garden, that the spices thereof may flow out. Let my beloved come into his garden, and eat his pleasant fruits. Your Beloved is in His garden looking for pleasant fruit to eat, Jesus Christ desires the spices that flow from us…what spices?

Jhn 19:40 NIV – Taking Jesus’ body, the two of them wrapped it, with the spices, in strips of linen. Well, look like there’s has to be a death…it’s our soulish nature, our selfish nature…it has to die. Of course you know the story doesn’t end there, right?

Gal 2:20 NIV – I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. Most of us really don’t believe this verse, the death Jesus Christ died…He died for ALL of us. The life we’re living now was made to produce the life of Christ, what fruit do you think He desires? Hmm…how about love? How about forgiveness? How about kindness? How about obedience? Come on now, as though He would model that life, preach about that life and tell us to live that life and what? Look for something else instead? CRAZY! Why do you think He tells you not to live in Egypt or Edom…you know why it’s desolate? GOD don’t live there…makes sense if He don’t like it, He ain’t gonna dwell in it.

Exo 33:3 KJV – Unto a land flowing with milk and honey: for I will not go up in the midst of thee; for thou art a stiffnecked people: lest I consume thee in the way. Any stiffnecked people? He will NOT be in the midst of thee, why? Your land ain’t flowing with milk and honey, I mean you might have some every now and then but sometimes you stop the flow…you love this one but not that one, you forgive this one but not that one…love and forgiveness, milk and honey. Seriously what did you think the staple diet is for being a Christian? These are the ABCs to Christian living folks. We all say Jesus is Lord, right? Well, what do you think makes Him Lord of your life? Ignoring Him? Being stiffnecked and not wanting to change? I’m a simple guy, when I stop the flow of milk and honey in my life my land just became desolate and my Beloved has no fruit to eat. What do you want Him to do? Hang around and starve?

Isa 49:10 KJV – They shall not hunger nor thirst; neither shall the heat nor sun smite them: for he that hath mercy on them shall lead them, even by the springs of water shall he guide them. The day is here TODAY, you and I never have to hunger or thirst, we never have to live in a desolate land. You can have God guide you each and every day of your life, all we have to do is live a life that is filled with MERCY…love and kindness even when the circumstances of your life get heated and difficult…it’s still love and kindness…New day!

What about that New church? Rev 21:25 KJV – And the gates of it shall not be shut at all by day: for there shall be no night there. TADA…it’s you, make sure you keep your gates open and all receive your love and forgiveness…it’s the only what to keep darkness out of your life.
