Good morning, all!

Father, we glorify You today and thank You for the power of Your love. We know that You alone make a way when there is no way, You shine a light when we are surrounded by dark and You play a song when our heart is broken. Let the world know the power of Your grace, the gift You have placed inside of us so that we can be that song for all to hear, Amen. The word says Jesus brought a new covenant it’s called grace.

Ephesians 2

7 That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in [his] kindness toward us through Christ Jesus.
That God would show EXCEEDING true riches of HIS Grace by the kindness that He has towards us by the spirit of Christ in us.

8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: [it is] the gift of God:
We are saved when we believe it’s by His grace alone and NOTHING we can add or do, it is God’s GIFT to us.

9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.
It has NOTHING to do with performance otherwise we would brag about how great we are.

10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.
We are His WORKMANSHIP, the greatest creation in Christ to do good, which is God’s plan for how we should LIVE.

Bottom line

So what was God’s motivation that He gave us the gift of grace? KINDNESS…the exact opposite of being upset or disappointed. Makes sense, can you have grace without kindness? And what is grace?

[Eph 3:7 NIV] became a servant of this gospel by the gift of God’s grace given me through the working of his power. Grace is God’s power in us, that word means strength and ability. And what gives us this power? FAITH, you have to believe in what God has given you and live with that power in your life. How great is the gift that God has given us? Of course I believe it’s the greatest gift, how could there be anything greater? If our lives can’t be saved without it, would you trade anything else for it? Crazy, right? And we can’t manufacture it or achieve grace, “it is NOT of yourselves”…we DON’T determine if we get the gift, it is God alone. And this one is important, you can’t lose it either…”NOT of works”. Of course God can’t corrupt His gift, He is pure and His love is not conditional which is evident by this passage. His gift of grace has NO strings attached, it is a free gift pure and holy. And because His gift is pure, we are pure, we should live a life of faith without conditions or restrictions also known as grace. Scripture tells us that those that are given grace also give grace this is the good work that God has ordained us to walk in, so what’s the WALK?

[Gal 6:16 KJV] And as many as walk according to this rule, peace on them and mercy, and upon the Israel of God. What rule should govern our life? Peace and mercy. By the power of grace we live by this rule, true peace is the absence of conflict and mercy the absence of rejection. So what does this rule accomplish? It means you have NO enemies, also known as friendship. Are you a friend of God?

[Pro 22:11 KJV] He that loveth pureness of heart, [for] the grace of his lips the king [shall be] his friend. When the words we speak to each other are covered with grace it’s a reflection of a pure heart, God says let me tell you about my friend he sticketh closer than a brother. Let’s make sure we stick close to God, if we do there’s no way grace can fail.

Point to Ponder

Do you have grace? [Tit 2:11 KJV] For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men. Remember, God is pure, so He has NO enemies…ALL have grace…guess He wants you close.
