Good morning all!
Father, the whole world always seems to be waiting for something, enough money, enough time, enough happiness. I pray Lord the only thing we wait on is You, for You are more than enough in this life. Your love has given us more than we could imagine, Your word declares we have received Your fullness so let us live like it, Amen.
John 4
34 Jesus saith unto them, My meat is to do the will of him that sent me, and to finish his work.
Jesus told His disciples My desire is to DO the will of Him that sent Me to earth and to FINISH His work.
35 Say not ye, There are yet four months, and [then] cometh harvest? behold, I say unto you, Lift up your eyes, and look on the fields; for they are white already to harvest.
Don’t say we’re WAITING and then comes the harvest…the CHANGE. LOOK now, I tell you and LIFT your eyes and then look at the field, it is already WHITE to be harvested.
36 And he that reapeth receiveth wages, and gathereth fruit unto life eternal: that both he that soweth and he that reapeth may rejoice together.
And to those that REAP will receive the benefit and will have fruit which produces life ETERNAL so that the One that sows will rejoice with the reaper.
37 And herein is that saying true, One soweth, and another reapeth.
This is the truth, One sows and everybody else reaps.
38 I sent you to reap that whereon ye bestowed no labour: other men laboured, and ye areentered into their labours.
I send you to REAP for that which requires NO work from you, for ANOTHER has donethe work and you will enter in for His work.
Bottom line
Have you ever waited for something only to find out you were waiting for nothing? This is the message that Jesus has for His disciples. What He’s really telling them is ‘what are you waiting for? The first command for a disciple of Jesus Christ is to LIFT your eyes, when we view life through natural eyes without faith you will ALWAYS be waiting for something, life is simply incomplete, unfulfilled. And when you believe your life is NOT complete or you’re waiting for everything to be perfect…News flash, life ain’t perfect, it’s downright messy and crazy at times. What’s the answer? Look UP!!!
[Psa 121:1 KJV] [[A Song of degrees.]] I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. We all need help to live this life and there is One and only One qualified to help us and that is the Lord God Almighty. There are 15 songs of degrees, this is a symbol of our spiritual awakening when we transition from a life based in what we see and feel to a life that is based on God’s truth and faith. Where does your help come from? You? What can you accomplish? What you believe is righteous? Over 2,000 years ago Jesus said the field is ALREADY white, so what are we waiting for? Where is this field? [Mat 13:38 KJV] The field is the world; the good seed are the children of the kingdom; but the tares are the children of the wicked [one]. The field is the WORLD, it’s you and I and everyone else for that matter and if you don’t see white it’s only because you’re NOT looking up, you’re NOT living your life based on faith. Did you notice there is only One that sows, who might that be?
[Mat 13:37 KJV] He answered and said unto them, He that soweth the good seed is the Son of man. Christ is the Sower, and there is only One seed which is Christ. He knows what He has sown in the heart of mankind, this is why He can say the field is WHITE. I know the world will say that oh that one there is a bad seed, NOT true according to scripture as though the God of mercy would plant a bad seed-Ha!
[Gal 3:16 KJV] Now to Abraham and his seed were the promises made. He saith not, And to seeds, as of many; but as of one, and to thy seed, which is Christ. Man, I love God’s word, it’s the only thing that can silence every lie in this world…no such things as seeds plural, God only created ONE seed, and it is Christ. Someone please say HALLELUJAH!! Notice verse 38 Jesus tells he sent them to REAP not sow; He sends them GATHER fruit of ETERNAL life. What He planted is going to produce eternal life in you and I so what are we gathering? Love & forgiveness, this is the symbolism of the WHITE field, it is without flaw or blemish. I mean what did you think the seed of Christ was going to produce in us? Hate and division? That’s the world, He said the One that sows REJOICES with the one that reapeth. You want Jesus to rejoice with you? Then you better reap the fruit of love, and the fruit of love is FORGIVENESS, without it you have the world’s love. It’s measured by the world’s scorecard, you know the one? You’re good to me, I’m good to you, but you hurt me then I hurt you. Hmm I seem to remember God giving us the TRUE definition of love NOT the world.
[1Co 13:5 NIV] Love does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps
no record of wrongs. So much for the world’s scorecard, you won’t find it in heaven…True love doesn’t have a scorecard…go reap His harvest.
Point to Ponder
What color do you see today? [Rev 7:9 KJV] After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands. Hmm…NO man could count that high, ALL nations, kindreds and people…ALL are clothed with a WHITE robe, I hope it’s the only color you see.
Let’s all lift our eyes to the Lord, In Him, Phil
