Good morning, all!

Father, we pray when You speak, we listen, help us to be still and know that You are God. Let the earth know the voice of God, let us hear clearly the call from heaven, the call on our life. We pray You have a new word for us today, one that would inspire hope and passion today, Amen.

Isaiah 44

1 Yet now hear, O Jacob my servant; and Israel, whom I have chosen:
Please listen to Me now, Jacob my servant, Israel my chosen one.

2 Thus saith the LORD that made thee, and formed thee from the womb, [which] will help thee; Fear not, O Jacob, my servant; and thou, Jesurun, whom I have chosen.
The LORD who MADE you and decided your purpose in this life says: Do not be afraid, O Jacob, my servant, the upright one, I CHOOSE you.

3 For I will pour water upon him that is thirsty, and floods upon the dry ground: I will pour my spirit upon thy seed, and my blessing upon thine offspring:
For I will pour out water to quench your thirst and overwhelm the parched place in your life. And I will pour out My Spirit on your descendants, and My blessing on your children.

4 And they shall spring up [as] among the grass, as willows by the water courses.
They will have a renewed passion like fresh grass, like new willows on a riverbank.

Bottom line

You know what the first rule is to LISTEN? BE QUIET! I believe there is a fresh anointing coming from God and we should seek Him day and night that there might be a new baptism of the holy spirit poured out from heaven above. There are many things that each of us desire but only one thing that is absolutely necessary, and that is the power of the holy spirit for without it we can do NOTHING! I believe this is the message from our Creator this morning, we often think God forgot about us or worse, yet He don’t know what’s going on-Ha! God’s message starts out with LISTEN NOW, but we want to wait until Sunday or what we perceive to be the right time because we’re not in the right frame of mind. Well, that’s His point, none of us are ever in the RIGHT frame of mind unless we LISTEN to God. Why? He is the good good Father, He formed us from the womb…God will birth NEW life in each of us. And like a good Father His first message to His children is fear NOT, maybe our Father really does know what we face but His job as a Father is to protect us and encourage us. He has two names for us today, He calls us both Jacob and Jesurun. Like Jacob sometimes we make the wrong choice, but God will shape us through those experiences and then He will bless us. When? Same as Jacob after we wrestle with Him, and we say I will NOT let go until you bless me. God acknowledges our prayer, and He changes our name to Jesurun, it’s a name of affection given to us by God which represents our NEW life. How do we get a NEW life? You know like being born again?

[Isa 43:18 KJV] Remember ye not the former things, neither consider the things of old. God spoke this to us in the previous chapter, the only way we can listen to God NOW is by forgetting yesterday, forget about the old you and the old way you lived. We all have stuff in our yesterday that God doesn’t want us to consider instead consider God, consider your new name…it means you walk upright. Remember what happened to Lot’s wife when she looked BACK? Yeah, she became worthless, the bible says she turned into a pillar of salt…trust me you don’t want to live a salty life, or you won’t find anybody sweet including God…that’s right He’s sweet on US. Now we can’t do this without the help of God and He will always make and way where there is NO way, right? Red sea, need I say more. So where does the help come from?

[Gen 7:11 KJV] In the six hundredth year of Noah’s life, in the second month, the seventeenth day of the month, the same day were all the fountains of the great deep broken up, and the windows of heaven were opened. God will break up the deep places in our heart that we didn’t even know existed and then He will pour down from Heaven His blessing and flood our life, He will quench our soul and HEAL the dry places of our life. How? Well, nothing can grow without water…His spirit…but that dry land will produce a beautiful green lawn and tall willows. The green lawn represents our soul, a new life that LISTENS to God and that willow represents our spirit, it represents us walking…living upright and there’s only one way to do that which is to walk HUMBLY with God. Do you walk humbly with God this morning? Quick test.

[Mat 18:4 KJV] Whosoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child, the same is greatest in the kingdom of heaven. You want to be great? Children listen to their Father!!

Point to Ponder

What does God expect from us? [Mic 6:8 NIV] He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the LORD require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God. The greatest form of humility is to LISTEN and NOT question Him.
