Good morning, all!

Father, we’re holding onto Your word today because You have declared it will never fail us. Show us Lord, show us Your glory today and fill us with joy, with a new song in our heart. We keep our eyes on You and look for a renewed heart and a renewed mind so that we would live in victory, Amen.

Isaiah 40

22 [It is] he that sitteth upon the circle of the earth, and the inhabitants thereof [are] as grasshoppers; that stretcheth out the heavens as a curtain, and spreadeth them out as a tent to dwell in:
God sits above it all and we have felt like we were grasshoppers, so God parts the curtain from heaven so that we might dwell with Him.

24 Yea, they shall not be planted; yea, they shall not be sown: yea, their stock shall not take root in the earth: and he shall also blow upon them, and they shall wither, and the whirlwind shall take them away as stubble.
What we have planted will NOT last, what we have sown will NOT grow, the stock will have NO roots in the earth, and when God blows it all withers and His whirlwind will remove it all.

25 To whom then will ye liken me, or shall I be equal? Saith the Holy One.
Is there anybody like Me or My equal? Saith the Holy One

26 Lift up your eyes on high, and behold who hath created these [things], that bringeth out their host by number: he calleth them all by names by the greatness of his might, for that [he is] strong in power; not one faileth.
Look at life from a HIGHER point of view, at the ONE that has created everything, He will bring out a great number of stars: He will call everyone by NAME by His power and strength, for with God’s power NOT one of these stars will FAIL…they will SHINE!!!

Bottom line

Isaiah 40 is such a profound piece of scripture, the chapter deals with God’s renewal for His people. Theres so much hope in this passage, it opens with the words “comfort ye, comfort ye My people”. So, what is God’s purpose for your life this morning? COMFORT, not condemn, not criticize, not to hurt…let me comfort you with a new plan for your life, you have not known, you have not heard before, perhaps not even imagined. Feel me? Have you ever felt so small or so insignificant that God might not even know you exist much less know your desires? Well, let me tell you, we might feel that way at times but that DON’T make it true, why do you think God just told He sits above it all? We might appear weak and frail in the light of His power and strength, but that is NOT how God sees us. He parts the curtains of heaven to show us that He has greater plans for us, and He alone will fulfil them for our lives. Whatever work we put in this earth, whatever we plant, or sow God blows it all away. The only thing He wants to influence and shape our lives and take root is FAITH!!! makes sense, right?

[1Co 13:13 NIV] And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love. God said NOW not tomorrow, not when we die, now is now, these are the only things that matter in life, it starts with Faith, then hope…renewal, something greater than we have known and of course LOVE which is ALWAYS #1. Then God asks us a great question, who is like God or who is His equal?

[Isa 29:16 NIV] You turn things upside down, as if the potter were thought to be like the clay! Shall what is formed say to the one who formed it, “You did not make me”? Can the pot say to the potter, “You know nothing”? I love this verse, it really says it all…God will rock our world in order to CHANGE it, we go from grasshoppers to STARS. God has no equal and there is NONE like Him, meaning with His nature and character which is holy and perfect. You know why He rocks our world? You must go back to the opening of this chapter; to provide us COMFORT. However, before the comfort comes, the renewal in our life, God will blow…remove the things in our life that that are NOT eternal and replace them with a renewed spirit in YOU. How does God do that? A WHIRLWIND!!! Do you remember when God answered Job in a whirlwind? When he parted the curtain?

[Job 42:10 NIV] After Job had prayed for his friends, the LORD restored his fortunes and gave him twice as much as he had before. God RESTORED Job, in fact, he received TWICE as much as before. Sounds like renewal? Sounds greater? I don’t know what season you find yourself in this morning, but I know these seasons are NOT eternal they are temporary but God’s plans for you are eternal and they can’t be changed. You may have experienced a setback, you might feel that way right now, if so, lift your eyes UP…don’t look at the setback, keep your eyes on God and believe that He will comfort you. Keep your eyes on Him, pray…keep praying for your renewal. And remember He holds all the power and according to His promise for us today…NOT one will FAIL…get ready to SHINE bright like a diamond!

Point to Ponder

How well does God know YOU? [Luk 12:7 NLT] And the very hairs on your head are all numbered. So don’t be afraid; you are more valuable to God than a whole flock of sparrows. You and I could spend a lifetime together and we would fail to count the number of hairs, but don’t be afraid God knows the exact number so trust that He will NOT hurt even one hair on your head.
