Good morning, all.
Father, we know that every day is created by You and for You, they are all carefully designed by Your hand, and none are wasted. We pray Lord that we would see Your grace in each day, each moment and always find Your purpose so that we would know Your will, Amen. Remember growing up and your mom waking you with rise and shine? I think that’s what the Lord is saying now.
Revelation 11
Rev 11:1 KJV – And there was given me a reed like unto a rod: and the angel stood, saying, Rise, and measure the temple of God, and the altar, and them that worship therein.
We received a tool and a message from heaven, Rise and measure God’s house and the altar and those that worship God.
Rev 11:2 KJV – But the court which is without the temple leave out, and measure it not; for it is given unto the Gentiles: and the holy city shall they tread under foot forty [and] two months.
But don’t measure the outer court of God’s house, that’s given to Gentiles and cold religion they walk all over it for 42 months.
Rev 11:3 KJV – And I will give [power] unto my two witnesses, and they shall prophesy a thousand two hundred [and] threescore days, clothed in sackcloth.
And I will give power to my 2 witnesses, and they will have a message during these 42 months, and they will be clothed in black with a message of sadness.
Rev 11:4 KJV – These are the two olive trees, and the two candlesticks standing before the God of the earth.
They represent 2 olive trees and 2 candlesticks representing God in the earth.
Bottom line
Funny how we measure everything in life right? The problem I think is we measure from the wrong position most of the time, here we’re told to ARISE before we measure. Arise to where? Heaven…faith. And what should we measure? We’re told there are only 3 things, temple, altar, and worshipper. Hmm…you suppose God’s building a church? And who is the church? YOU!!! Know ye not you are the temple, the altar of incense is the expression of your soul, and the worshipper is the one that worships…lives by His spirit and truth. God is the Master builder and He’s building His church, it’s you and I.
Psa 127:1 NIV – Unless the LORD builds the house, the builders labor in vain. Unless the LORD watches over the city, the guards stand watch in vain. He gives you and I a measuring stick, so we get the dimensions accurate, you know why? Too short and it falls, too big it doesn’t fit. Isn’t God awesome, not only does He include us in His most important project, but He gives us the equipment to do it. You got your tape measure?
Eze 40:5 KJV – And behold a wall on the outside of the house round about, and in the man’s hand a measuring reed of six cubits [long] by the cubit and an hand breadth: so he measured the breadth of the building, one reed; and the height, one reed. There’s only One Reed and it has a name, it is Jesus Christ, what is the breadth of it? The earth. And what is the height? Heaven. That’s right we are both heaven and earth, we are both natural and supernatural. Heaven is a picture of our faith, what we believe and the earth a picture of our lifestyle, how we live. It’s the 2 witnesses with the wrong message to the church, we’re dressed in rags instead of a robe.
Deu 4:26 KJV – I call heaven and earth to witness against you this day, that ye shall soon utterly perish from off the land whereunto ye go over Jordan to possess it; ye shall not prolong [your] days upon it, but shall utterly be destroyed. They are a witness against the church because we don’t live what we believe. Let’s take forgiveness as an example, we’re called to forgive all always even our enemies. Now when we don’t forgive, your earth is a witness against you and it’s corrupt. So, what happens?
Jas 5:3 KJV – Your gold and silver is cankered; and the rust of them shall be a witness against you, and shall eat your flesh as it were fire. When your gold and silver have rust God sends fire to burn them off, notice what that fire eats? Your flesh…your reasoning and your feelings which by the way isn’t eternal so don’t measure it, what’s eternal? The gold and the sliver. It’s the same thing as the olive trees and the candlestick, they represent peace and joy. Can you have God’s peace when you don’t forgive others? Or is the joy of the Lord really your strength or is it your pride? When it’s the joy God has given us, we have the strength, if not, our pride makes us too weak to walk…guess that’s why it’s called a walk of faith.
Point to Ponder
You what you get with oil and a candlestick? Mat 5:16 KJV – Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven. Lights don’t know how to discriminate or be judgmental…they just shine.
Let’s arise and shine in this world, In Him Phil
